I was so happy with these boots, comfortable excellent downhill performance and the hike mode is almost as good as my touring boots, and in fact, my preference was to use these over my top end Technica 0G pros. That was until my shells cracked as well in exactly the same place as other peoples on the line of the honeycomb textured surface. Now I have a useless boot after only 12 days of use.
These work great when I'm skinning up, but, more importantly, they give me the precision and control I need on groomers and in the woods. And, as a bonus, the thinsulate liners makes them the warmest boots I've owned -- I haven't even needed to put in my Hotronic foot beds because the liners are so good. I use the medium volume 120s which give me a lot of control at speed, and fit better than my 98 last race boots. And, these work just as well in my regular, Pivot DIN bindings as my uphill, pin-bindings
Terrible Boot, soft plastic, the gripwalk falls apart walking on a snowcovered parking lot, the lining is bunching up, very dissatisfied for a $750 pair of boots.
I was initially intrigued by the versatility of the Rossignol Alltrack AT ski boots, yet upon closer examination, I found them to be somewhat lacking. These are ok downhill boots. They are not good touring boots…even if you’re 10% touring they’re not going to meet your needs when it’s needed. The hike mode is useless, there is no range of motion. The back or the boots hurt my calves. The liners are very difficult to get out and I question the boot’s outer plastic integrity. They are also a tank…very heavy.
