My street shoe size is 42.5. The La Sportiva Futura has been my go to shoe for a while. I had to upsize to a 10 in order to get my foot in to the shoe. The evowrap is quite thick, making it quite difficult to get into the expected shoe size. The heel cup is a bit loose but not as bad as I feared after sizing up. If they change a 1/2 size while breaking in, it could make them useless, but having found a size to fit, enjoying them
I have worn 3 pairs of evolv shoes (size 10.5). I always downsize my shoes quite a bit. that being said, these were tighter than the shaman pros at the same size. great rubber. wears quickly but sticky.
They work perfectly! Not too stiff, not too soft, perfectly balanced shoes. They have deep heel and toe patch goes up high, therefore is difficult get them on, maybe with the time this will be better. Fit is perfect for my Roman foot. Overall - when you want only one shoe for everything (gym, outdoor boulders, from slab to overhang this is perfect choice! Durability seems to be good to.
Got this shoes on discount during the Black Friday season - and delivery was fairly quick considering I live in the SEA region. After looking around on Reddit and reading the review, I decided to size up by 1 from my street shoe (Street size: EUR 40/US 7/UK 6). The first few wears were painful... awful... awfully unbearably painful. Before this, I was wearing a soft shoes from A-Climbing, an up and coming Japanese brand, sizing to my street shoes. The A-Climbing shoes were comfortable and snug enough but aggressive heel hooks is not possible without the heel slipping off. I was more conservative about not going too small which would not make me wanna wear them. That said, after about 5 to 6 sessions with some plastic for slipping in, they fit me well enough now that I can finally put more effort into heel hooking. I can wear them for about 20 minutes before my pinky toes give up on me. If I were to get this again, I would most likely go down another half size to Men's US 7.5 instead for a more secure fit. I did not get a chance to try them on so I only got them based on best estimate. It also took me quite awhile to trust them on volume and smearing due how different they are from my previous pair. Edging was decent and support from the evowrap was very good. TRAX ® SAS rubber is sticky enough that I can trust it on almost every kinds of hold. Overall, no complains with this pair.
