Excellent ski, great climbing grip, smooth descent
Very impressed with these skis. Recently bought them to have more flotation in deeper snow - I sized up to get more, with some concern that I'd be moving past the weight range appropriate for my size. I'm ~175 lb, and bought the 189 ski. I am at the bottom end of the recommended weight range for that with my gear on, but paired with the NNN-BC Magnum mechanical binding, I am finding it works really well for my intended purpose, accessing little-used trails off the beaten track, or even on more used trails in deep snow. Montana weather has served up some great snow in the last few weeks, and I've been able to try them a couple of times now. They grip very well - I bought the EZ-65 skins but haven't tried them yet, haven't yet needed to. I've been able to head up sections of deeper snow that had me wondering, but they hook up and with a appropriate arm support I was able to continue directly up the line. Considerably better flotation than my 25-year old alternatives, and the full metal edges (as opposed to 3/4) are an improvement, leaving me feeling like there is better control. So far I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend these!
