Great Shorts… Not So Great “Update”
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these shorts for swimming. Being a woman of a certain age and build, I prefer a slightly more modest look to feel comfortable on the water. These shorts fit the bill and look great doing it! My one complaint is with the “updated” version this year, they removed the back pockets and, for whatever reason, actually made the shorts smaller. I bought 2 pair in a large last summer which still fit perfectly, ordered 2 additional pair in the same size, this month for a trip to Hawaii and they were tight and short… WHY??? I reordered an XL and they are perfect, but I just don’t understand messing with the actual sizing! Also, give me back my pockets!!!
Company not honest! Color and sizes inconsistent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 3rd pair. The first blue pair size large, too big, ordered a medium, perfect fit! Ordered a 3rd pair in black size medium, same exact short -- paid for overnight shipping and the black size medium fit like a extra small maybe a size 4/6! So not only do I not have e what I want for a trip to Jamaica, clearly I can't count on free country fir any future orders. As sizes in colors or very very inconsistent! Now I am out shipping plus return shipping and I do not have what I want!! Free country--- BE HONEST WITH CUSTOMERS ABOUT COLORS AND SIZE DIFFERENCES! completely turned off to ever ordering again.
Love lost
Loved the length and material, smooth and little bit of stretch, but sizing was very small and did not fit.
Summer Swim Shoets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVED the color and the look, unfortunately I bought the wrong style. I meant to order the longer board shorts in which I already own three pairs. (They are amazing , and have held up for years!) However I needed a medium to be a bit more comfortable. In these shorts the medium was too small, and I'd of loved these if they'd had been a large. They were cute and same material that I know would hold up great like my others ill be purchasing again, but the correct shorts this go around.
Board shorts II vs original board short
These board shorts II do not have Velcro at the waist button which I loved on the original board shirt. That’s the same. However these shorts are tapered leg openings and run smaller than the original. I wear a medium in the original with a loose fit. I ordered a medium in the newer version and while they fit they are form fitting looking because of the tapered leg. I liked them even with that so I ordered the large and they fall off. Please bring back the original board shirt.
Just Okay
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material is very thin and the sizing runs small. I have some from Title nine that are similar, more sturdy and more quick drying. The sizing runs small. I’m 5’ 7”, 160 pounds, curvy on bottom with a smaller waist. I bought a 12/14 which per their sizing is a size large. They are too tight in the butt. I would return them, but after all the fees I wouldn’t be getting any where near the price I paid. So I guess I’ll try to lose 5 pounds to make them fit, LoL.
No more old lady bathing suit for me!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These board shorts and tops by Free Country are great. I’m 70 and refuse to wear a traditional bathing suit ever again. Why would I wear a plastic tube up to my crotch at my age? These shorts look and feel great, and I can go to the ladies room and not have to pull down the whole suit. The shorts hit me perfectly just above the knee and hide my unattractive thighs. I am 5’2, 130 pounds and I got the medium. The fabric is soft and extremely comfortable.
Perfect summer shorts for swimming and so much more
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are the perfect length and overall fit. They are very easy to move in without feeling bulky, bunched up or too loose. I haven’t worn them out yet but look forward to warmer weather because I can tell they will be versatile and great for swimming, hiking, cycling, yoga, and regular everyday activities. These will likely be my go-to shorts, so I purchased them in 3 different colors. I’d like to also have a pair in khaki if they made them.
Best Board Shorts
I have been looking along time for board shorts I could wear in the pool, and be able to wear other places. I love these because they sit just below your natural waist, and even though you can tie them, they have a smooth waist band so they lay flat, and are flattering. Many of the reviews complained they were too big or too small, and that concerned me. I figured I'd be safe with a medium, and they fit perfect! I am 5'3" 128 lbs
Disappointed they changed the cut and size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing these shorts for years. In fact they are my favorite shorts. Living in Florida and the heat they are light and never get wrinkled. I was excited to see a navy color come out so I bought a bunch to stock up. However the fit is completely different than before and they don’t fit at all. Tighter and much smaller than before. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed because they were my favorite shorts.
