The skinny jeans of snow gear
I bought these online. My waist is 39-40". I bought the XL which is 40-42" because I wanted some extra room. Im 5'10" and 225 pounds. Wearing just a t-shirt and sweatpants these were too tight all over. To make matters worse I assumed there would be some stretch since they have spandex. There was no stretch and the knees aren't articulated so bending or crouching was not comfortable. Add to this that no matter how much I tightened the webbing they seemed like they wanted to fall down, even though they werent falling down. It was just the way they feel. I only wore them in the house for 15 minutes and then returned them to my local REI.
Snowboarding bib
I bought this at the beginning of the ski season, so far I’ve gone three times and haven’t had a drop of water seep through like I’ve had happen with previous bibs. There is no thermal value, they’re just water proof, personally, it doesn’t bother me because I like to wear sweats underneath but if that’s what you’re looking for in a bib this may not be the one for you.
Too Tight
I am 6’0”, 155lbs, 31” waist, and a M in these was very narrow and tight for me. They seem well made with quality materials, but the fitted style really restricted my motion and ability to crouch, and there was no flex to them. I was afraid I would end up tearing the fabric with any tension created by basic motion involved in snowboarding, so I retuned them. May work for some, but if you want a more relaxed fit, these are not the answer.
