Decent lightweight rain shell

Didn't quite match the description... from REI "Zippered lower seam pockets; zip chest pocket". Nope. Lower side pockets do zip, NO chest pocket as stated. Not a full-on deal breaker, but don't claim to offer a feature that doesn't exist. Have worn the jacket a couple times in both rain and snow, so far it has done fine repelling the weather. Light weight, stuffs in a pack easily. Front placket is a tad narrow, doesn't fasten over the zipper, but does cover it. Generally, I'd give it a 7/10 at this point. Durability still to be tested.

Paradox in the rain

The raincoat claimed: waterproof & breathable. I wish manufacturers would stop marketing these two mutually exclusive characteristics. They cannot exist together! I went on a bike ride under a moderate but steady rain, lasting over 2 hrs. The protection was good initially, but eventually the rain seeped through and I got soaked. I was very disappointed, felt let-down, unprotected. REI motto is "Get outside" (something like that) and yet this raincoat did not facilitate and afford me this lifestyle.

water resistant not waterproof

looks and feels nice, but i dont think its truly waterproof. for one day of rain, its good. but if i wear it in the rain, hang it up after, and grab it the next day, the interior feels wet. I've had it for one season, and it definitely gets worse. disappointing.

It’s great

I have used this rain jacket for about 6 months now. I work outside in the woods every day and it has kept me completely dry, even in very heavy rain lasting all day. It’s durable enough to not get ripped when going through thick brush and trees, but not so heavy that it is too hot

This is one of the

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best quality rain coats I have worn. I bought a mens coat because there weren't very good options or colors available for womens rain coats. So glad I did. This is a really nice rain coat. Looks and fits great. I wish I could have gotten a size smaller but medium was sold out :(

I really can't adequately review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really can't adequately review the jacket since I've not worn it. I purchased one for myself and my wife based on other reviews and examining one in a store. I've purchased them for a trip to Costa Rica next month, After that, I should have a much better idea.

Rain jacket

Have not had to use it yet, due to no rain. Fits very nice, feels good too. I expect to wear it playing golf, and it seems to have room enough to swing. My wife has the same jacket for a few years and she loves it.
