Disapointing Durability

Received this jacket in January. Overall I like the jacket and it has some good features and fits true to size. However, after only having used the jacket 11 times I started seeing wear on the seam under the right arm. A little disappointed that a jacket that claims enhanced durability cannot last a full two weeks on the mountain.

Good jacket, but could have been great

This is a really nice rain jacket, but, unless you are going to go out in a monsoon, it might be a bit overkill. I only say that because it's pretty stiff and, because of that, not all that comfortable. I have a few other Mountain Hardwear rain jackets that are way more flexible and keep me dry when it's raining. In my opinion, this jacket should have insulation and then it would be ready for extreme weather conditions. As is, it's just a really over done light weight Spring and Fall jacket. Note, I typically wear a medium, but, due to the stiffness of this jacket, I had to size up to a large.

Poor quality, good looks.

Fit, look, and features are good. 3 Stars because it has already ripped after a couple of uses. I cannot even know how, I have not fallen, rubbed it against rocks or any other alpine feature. I used to wear a North Face Summit Series for many seasons, used freeriding and backcountry skiing and has behaved better than this in just a couple of days.

Weird sizing

This jacket fits sooooo strange. It is hard to describe. It’s very large in parts of it but fits tight somewhere thru the chest and/or waist area. I can’t accurately describe it, but now I understand why it is priced so low. I bought it thinking it was similar to a previous MH jacket I once had, it’s much thinner than I expected it’s hard to imagine how it could be in the “warmest” category. I will be returning it first thing tomorrow to replace it with a better fitting jacket. So disappointed.

weird fit

I am a large person with big shoulders. the XXL is tight in the shoulders and wide at the waist. So if you have a big gut this jacket is for you. I will be returning mine

Perfect jacket for Resort and Sidecountry skiing!

Exactly what I expected from Moutain Hardware....good quality, great fit at a good price. I was looking for a ski jacket that would be suitable for resort skiing and side country ski touring laps and this jacket seems ideal. I'm only 6 days into the ski season, but so far I'm very impressed. I'm 183cm tall and 84kg and the large fits perfectly. Would highly recommend.

an all around excellent offering from Mountain Hardware. Golden brown color is killer, modern fit, and all the features you would expect in 3 layer shell jacket. not a skimo style jacket, its a big burly jacket for lapping inbounds, sled skiing, and the occasional sidecountry adventure. 6'1" 185 lbs very happy with size large

Excellent jacket for the price

This jacket is great and especially more for the price point. Used several times already in cold snowy conditions and freezing fog. It doesn’t keep me as warm as other high performance shells I’ve bought but the quality is very high and for the money I’m extremely happy with the purchase.

Not my fit

Didn't fit me. 5'9" and 205 in shape ( for me). Too long, tunic fit and still tight at shoulders and chest, not so much at waist. Too bad, I've got several iterations of the MH core elite jackets that fit great and gave me a decade of service

Great everyday resort jacket!

very waterproof. pockets are good size and well placed. drawstrings for hood and waist designed well. durable, without being too heavy.great jacket for the resort, or side country! I like a baggy fit so i went up a size from recommended.
