Smartwool  Hike Light Cushion Winding Trail Crew Socks - Men's

The 6 pair I ordered has not arrived yet, but I have ordered 12 pair of the black/grey color previously and I absolutely love them. I’m an electrician and I order them to wear with my work boots. My feet use to sweat a lot with other brands of socks but not these. What got me hooked on these was when I ordered 5 pairs of the low hike socks for a trip to Costa Rica. I knew I was going to be on my feet a lot on that trip and wanted a good quality sock. They definitely held up for that trip and have held up for the past two years after.

I have phased out all other sports underwear, sweaters, and socks for Smartwool. For socks, I have thin ones to wear with my more formal shoes, medium cushion for summer, and full cushion for winter. They are durable. They are attractive. They handle sweat and cold and heat. They are largely, maybe totally, resistant to the moths that get to wool sweaters. I hike in them. I walk in them. I go to fancy parties in them. I would be just about naked without them. . .

These socks come true to size and their form-fitting weave means that they don't shift about or bunch up while wearing them on hikes. Never a blister, never a cuff sliding down. My old feet do get hot in them during summer hikes, presumably from the nylon fibers needed to form the durable matrix for the wool. I do appreciate that they are domestically woven too.

These socks are incredibly comfortable and very effective at managing moisture. I have worn them while backpacking in Pisgah National (Rain)Forest and was able to wear them for consecutive days. They dried overnight while I slept and had barely any odor even after two days of heavy use.

I walk outside year round up in Michigan and I love these socks. My feet stay warm without sweating and are perfect for hanging around the house on these cold winter days. And the colors and patterns they come in add flare.

I have worn size 11 shoes my entire life. These socks are undersized and the fit is very tight with one wash it will even be worse. The texture of the sock is not comfortable like previous pairs of Smartwool Socks.

These Smartwool socks are legit. Super comfy, no blisters, and they don't get gross after a long hike. My feet stay warm but not sweaty, and they hold up like a champ. Easily my go-to for the trail.

So far, the socks were comfortable and exactly what I expected. I've only used them once, so I'll be able to give a more accurate review after they've been worn and laundered a couple of times.

I am obsessed with Smartwool socks. They are the best winter socks and I look forward to stocking up on them each year when they go on sale. They make great gifts as well.
