Smartwool  Hike Light Cushion Crew Socks - Men's

As a long-distance backpacker, I’ve always paid attention to my socks because even the best boots can be marginalized by a mediocre or even a pretty good sock. When I discovered the Smartwool PhD socks, I stopped looking for a better sock…because there isn’t one. You can imagine my panic when Smartwool renamed the PhD line as the Performance series and I didn’t know it. Fortunately, an AT thru-hiker told me it was the same sock. I gave away my other “high-end sock” brands and stocked up on 6 pairs of the Performance socks. I’m happy again, and more importantly, my feet are, too.

Good socks. Work well for summertime use. Recommend sizing up if you're close to the next size.

The socks are extremely comfortable and keep your feet at a good temperature(not too hot and not too cold). They also feel like they are good quality and are very soft yet durable. I love the design as well.

Best pair of socks for hiking or just walking. Comfortable, excellent material (Mostly wool), and not too heavy.

Socks feel so comfortable, I really like them. I like the tension band around the arch also. I used to use the PhD socks and I am having trouble finding them
