Perfect sun hat.

Perfect fishing and anytime hat. Stiff broad brim for good sun protection and to support a magnifier for fishing. Prevents blowing upwards on a windy day. Light weight and comfortable. Adjustable.

Sunday Afternoons hat for a rainy Alaska day

I tested this hat on a recent visit to SE Alaska and the Tongass National Forest. As expected the weather was rainy and cool. The inner headband adjustment made a snug and comfortable fit for my head. The hat performed well at keeping my head and neck dry and warm, and my vision was not impeded by the hat brim. The chin strap worked well at keeping the hat in place on windy days and during boat travel. I highly recommend this hat.

Proved itself on rainy Alaska Trip

I needed a waterproof hat to wear in the Alaska rain and this was perfect. On multiple occasions over a 2 week period it kept my head dry AND kept the rain off my face and glasses.

Nice hat

Sturdy brim so it doesn’t flap in your face in the wind.

Outstanding Storm/Rain Hat

I purchased the Outback Storm Hat recently for my fishing trip to Alaska. It was in a word "Perfect." The hat fit well & kept my head/face dry from the rain that we encountered. I really liked that you could fold it in half that made packing the hat easier in my suitcase. Will I buy again when this hat wears out, most definitely!

Great quality and style.

This hat was a mid-summer birthday gift for my husband. He likes the quality and style of it, but, being it's summer, he won't get much use until the fall rains come. I'm sure he will love it then!

Best Rain Hat I've Ever Had!

I've had a tough time finding a broad-brimmed waterproof hat that was comfortable, fits well, and isn't black. As a professional golf caddie, good wet weather clothing is essential year-round in the Pacific NW for my work happiness! This hat meets or exceeds all of my requirements. Here's a list of the hat's features that I really like: 1. The design is very functional, with a traditional crown and brim that doesn't look like I'm a crab fisherman heading out to sea. 2. The fit is perfect: Adjustable interior headband provides a custom fit, allowing for a skullcap or bare head. I wore it for 6 straight hours without it being too loose or giving me a headache. 3. Tan color looks good, and is better for all seasons than the usual black color of most rain hats. 4. Chis strap is a bonus, as out on the links rain is usually accompanied by strong winds. 5. Although I wasn't sure if I liked the folding brim feature, it didn't cause problems when I wore it in breezy conditions. Also, when I travel or play golf, this hat fits neatly in my rucksack or golf bag when folded, and doesn't look like a truck ran over it afterwards! 6. Hat is breathable, so no "scalp sauna" effect. Bottom Line: This rain hat is a winner!

It keeps the rain off!

I wore this in rain that lasted all day, and it kept my head dry.
