Feature rich resort jacket
I am a big fan of this jacket. There are many thoughtful details that have been considered and delivered with this item and I'll highlight several. I've used this over several resort ski outings ranging in temps between 15 degrees F to 30 degrees F. Across the temp and wind spectrum and in actively snowing conditions, this does a great job as a windbreak and insulates well, but not to the point of overheating on the warmer days. A snap-on powder skirt is a great addition on the inside to keep things secured. Adjustable pulls are at several points on the jacket including the bottom and hood which is great to cinch things down over your helmet. A goggle cloth comes in one of the breast pockets, and there's a small zippered pocket to hold your RFID pass on the left arm. It has a high collar which is great for windier days on the mountain. Pit zips extend from the mid bicep on the arm to mid-chest which offers a ton of surface area to help dump heat on those warmer days. One feature that I'm still coming to grips with is the neoprene sleeves with thumbholes. On one hand, these are great to really lock you into the jacket and offer additional security. On the other, if you track your runs with a fitness watch like I do, you can bank on having some access difficulties to view your device while on the lift as it's compressed under the sleeve. I often don't check my stats unless I'm in the resort, or after I've returned home from the mountain, so it's not a huge impact, but something to be aware of if you are frequently checking your wrist. If you don't use a watch to track runs, I'd say this is an excellent jacket that does a good job at balancing insulation, windbreak, and waterproof features and the pit zips and has a lot of thoughtful features I've thoroughly enjoyed.
What a jacket
Wow, this is a great jacket. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but the longer I wore it the more features I was able to find. I was finally able to use it when Oregon decided to get some snow via a snow storm. Luckily I had this jacket while out snowshoeing. Even with heavy winds and constant snow (about 7 inches while we were out), I stayed warm with only the jacket and a base layer shirt. I was so surprised that I didn't need another layer, but I'm glad I didn't wear one or I'd be too hot. There is definitely potential to overheat in this while doing strenuous activity. I was drenched in sweat snowshoeing 2 miles with 1200 feet of elevation gain. The amount of pockets also had me impressed. I was able to keep my phone easily accessible on an inside pocket close to my body so it wasn't too cold. Plenty of room for snacks, lighter gloves/hat, knife, and other items you may need. Honestly overkill for simply skiing. There is a pocket that doesn't zip on the inside as well. I'm not sure what you'd put in there, but I don't think anything would fall out of it. I wouldn't put my phone in there skiing though, just to be safe. There is a really cool texture in the back of this jacket that I think allows ventilation so it doesn't feel humid inside while staying warm. Likk I mentioned, I was really warm in this jacket, but I didn't feel uncomfortably moist as I do in other warm jackets. My two favorite features are the waist belt and the wrist covering. I've always hated snow getting in my jacket and pants while participating in snow sports, so these two features are a life saver. The waist belt could go inside snow pants or over them. It stays in place with rubber grips. And the sleeve has a thumb hole keeping your wrist completely covered. Snow has no way of getting into your glove or your sleeve. Game changer. You get what you pay for. Plenty of storage (overkill maybe), warmth & comfort, and snow stays out. If you are in need of a solid jacket for winter sports and you can afford this, I would definitely do it.
Warm Cozy Ski Jacket
The Picture Organic Insulated Jacket provides plenty of warmth without being too bulky. The thumb holes built into each sleeve ensure maximum coverage when gloves are put on over top during skiing. THe Hood is large enough to allow you to fit a winter hat or ski helmet on underneath. The added loopholes to strap the jacket to the belt loops on ski pants is an added bonus to ensure the jacket doesn't move around.
Insulation without bulk
I typically prefer a shell jacket with no insulation, but this jacket has exceeded my expectations. Firstly, it looks great and doesn’t present as bulky as other insulated options I have used. I wore this in 25 degree weather with only a wool base layer and felt comfortable the whole time. The added features like a giggle wipe and thumb holes were also a nice touch. I would even wear this for uphill skinning as the pit zips help to dump heat quickly.
Superior outdoors jacket
Overall the jacket fit my body very well. The inner thumb holes come in very handy to keep hands warm. Jacket kept me toasty warm, but vents have option so you aren’t too warm. Jacket is not too bulky. Only thing I didn’t like completely is that the hood is permanently attached.
Absolutely one of a kind!
Cannot recommend this jacket and company enough! Jacket is true to size, great quality, TONS of features, and beautiful color pattern. Honestly didn’t know what I’d get since I had not heard of them before but very happy I gave them a try! Also they use recycled materials and are conscious about the environment! Made a life long fan out of me!
Perfect for the slopes
Awesome jacket, love the fit, finish, and materials. Picture's typical craftsmanship and attention to details. Vents well and sleeve for lift card works perfect. Got it in orange and was afraid it might be a bit loud but actually love it.
Great coat!!
Great fit, not too bulky and waterproof. Good for winter activities and walking the dog.
