sizing inaccurate. nice fabric if they fit you.
nice fabric but sizing not to spec. the width is as specified but the fingers are ridiculously long. I have a wide hand with average fingers (i buy large, extralarge ir mens gloves). the smartwool lxl gloves fit widthwise but extended over an inch beyond my fingers.
Beautiful Fabric & Quality
Was drawn to these for my spouse, especially considering their beautiful purple color. We found the fabric, knit and overall quality excellent. While she has a larger hand, she could not use them because the L/XL is super big. The alternate size is S/M.
Horrible proportions
Ordered and after trying them on. The proportions are horrible, the fingers are all about an inch too long (I fit in pretty much all of the other gloves in the store. The material does seem to be great through.
do not wash gloves
gloves shrink when washed and it is not possible to stretch them back to original size
Premium Fit & Finish
Got these gloves to match my Patagonia jacket. These are my first from Smartwool and they are really great quality. Very soft and dense wool. I have large hands and these were large, but fit comfortably snug and not sloppy. They are two layers and very warm. Pretty happy with these.
I have two pairs of this toasty gloves
Best gloves I own and I own many being in Minnesota My fingers have never gotten cold wearing these as I am out each and everyday walking my dog all winter long- I also have a cabin near the Canadian Boarder and these are my go to every day gloves during errands .
Gorgeous and warm
Bought these since I'm going back to the office. More expensive but worth it. Super soft; look and feel like cashmere. Just got them so not sure how well they hold up through the winter but I doubt think I have ever been this happy trying on gloves before.
Fits Small
Smaller than expected so being returned. REI needs to provide free returns and the lack of the free returns makes us reluctant to purchase from REI. Market share will continue to shrink without free returns.
I would not buy them again.
The boiled bowl fabric was lighter weight than expected, and the fingers were so long that it would be impossible to do anything while wearing the gloves. I returned them.
Pretty good
Pretty good. Very warm and wind resistant, enough to for my winter bike commute. Only issue I've had is when they get wet they can become impossible to put on.
