[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I checked out multiple reviews before purchasing, all positive and satisfied customers. maybe bots! my experience was the total opposite. I got it specifically for obstacle course runs. the water containers stayed in place while filled with water to weigh it down. once the levels changed the impact of my running alone caused them to continuously bounce and fall out. no matter how secured. on the pros it fit well and was very aerodynamic with a nice pocket for ID, phone, and maybe a protein snack. but for the price point and what it was intended for it did not make the cut at all.
I used this vest for a first test run of about 4 miles and it was super comfortable from the first moment I put it on. I am 5'2 about 129 lbs and a medium fit me perfectly! I didn't even have to adjust any of the straps but it seemed like there a lot of ways to adjust it if it doesn't fit right. It never moved, it didn't bounce and that is what i was looking for because I cannot wear any other running belts or bags as they just bounce and move the whole time. The only reason I noticed it was even on is because it maybe felt a little more hot on my back than just running with a shirt on but that was not a big deal. the phone pocket is big enough to hold my phone without the case, a little tight with the case on.
Used this for a 50k last weekend. Wow it was impressive! First of all, so many pockets to store fuel and my phone, water bottles. The construction is very reliable. I would even use this on a daypacking trip.
This is the most comfortable running vest I have ever owned. Lightweight and great fit. The flasks can be used without removing them from the pockets. I use the vest for long trail runs and races.
This is a great vest! It's perfect for 100k's or less this held everything I needed it to and was super comfortable. It doesn't bounce or chafe!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this running vest. So lightweight and convenient for short and long runs.
Absolute 10/10 vest. I was on the fence between a couple and I'm glad I went with this one. Pockets are very stretchy and secure and bottles very easy to get out and back in even when wearing the vest and even running off from the aid station haha. Zipped phone pocket fits my small iphone 12 mini but would probably not fit one of the newer jumbo phones. I fit 4 gu packs in the stretchy non-zipped pockets and they were extremely secure. The main pocket is surprisingly spacious, fits my waterproof and emergency blanket, and doesn't bounce around at all. A word on sizing: I am a medium in almost all things (5'4" ~62kg small-ish bust) and I got the S/XS and have to cinch it ALL the way. I tried on a medium and it was way too big.
Long distance trail running The fit is more secure than previous vests but not uncomfortable. The pockets for water flasks in the front are difficult to reload. If you fill your flasks and put them in first it works fine. To refill it's best to leave them in the pocket and remove the cap. Rear storage is nice. The split pocket for bladder and gear is a nice feature. The bungee adds ability to store a bulky layer. I am 5'6" 160lbs female and wear a M. 32c The fit over my chest isn't great, most vests are not designed for breasts.
I really wanted to like this vest, but have had a few issues with it. While on a multi-day bike packing trip in rural Mexico I wore the vest, and the bottom strap broke off - unsure how it broke off as I was quite stationary riding my bike (not doing vigorous movement such as in trail running, or other normal running) - made for a slightly less comfortable trip due to the vest not being entirely secure. Sent it in for warranty work, but now once I received back and using it for trail runs, I am having issues with the elastic straps, and the right side is holding on by a thread. I don't believe I over tightened the vest - simply secured it so it would not bounce around on my runs. I believe I will be sending back in for warranty work to get the straps fixed...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this, untested and brand-new, for the Georgia Jewel 50-mile race. It worked perfectly. Initially, I found that it sat relatively high on my shoulders and chest. This came to benefit me as it reduced friction and allowed for easy access to the water bottles and all pockets. The straps were easily adjustable while running, and I was able to include a camelbak bladder in the back with no problem. I would certainly buy this again, however, I think the current one will last me quite a while.
