This great little device lets me know if my bike has been tampered with. l also have scared a few people who have touched it whilst armed and moved away from my bike. So cool that you can customise it to your needs and then track it with the Apple Findmy system; most of all, it's basically hidden and, best of all, it's rechargeable.
Just get one and get your stolen bike back!
Best money I ever spent. My e-bike was stolen and recovered in the same day because I was tracking it with find my phone. The police were even impressed and said they never recover bikes! I have one on all my bikes and they are well worth it!
An Added Deterrent
I’ve been using this Knog Scout for about 3 weeks and am generally happy with it. I expected it to be an added deterrent to would be bike thieves and it has done this. I left my bike outside a donut shop, set the Scout alarm, and left it for 3-4’. The app alerted me to movement so I went outside and found the alarm sounding and two guys standing a few feet away and acting suspicious. Whether it was them or someone else, the bike was moved which triggered the alarm. It’s not going to prevent professional theft but it helps to deter opportunity thieves. The app can be a bit touchy but it’s a new product and I expect the app performance will improve with updates.

Pros: Good when you’re near bike for Bluetooth to work Discreet and somewhat hidden when installed Fairly loud alarm Cons: Delay and non intuitive during setup of app pairing (have to touch iPhone screen during setup then it will pair to Bluetooth) Packaging hard to open 30-50 meter line of sight pairing via Bluetooth so can’t go far to still enable alarm 8 alarm sound options but when selecting any other than Alarm 1 it doesn’t save and always uses Alarm 1 Doesn’t come with charging cable Can’t use effectively with multiple iPhones Could be solar powered

Mounting hardware is too wide for mounting to Benno 46er water bottle mount holder Scout alarm is only for 1 user Scout alarm notifications is Bluetooth so range is limited to know if bike is tampered with, or you need to be close enough to see the bike so why need the alarm at all other than to hopefully scare off a thief Mainly this is useful to locate bike after stolen or a glorified Apple Air Tag
