Looks amazing, but too stiff

I have several pairs of Xero shoes and these do not feel like Xeros. They are quite stiff, especially around the ankle and on top of the foot. I sized up and that helped the top of the foot. But I still can't bear how stiff the ankles are or how difficult the are to get on and off. For one, the eyelets at the top really need to be hooks. It would make unlacing so much faster. The colorway is incredible for once (I usually find Xero's color choices so ugly)!!! The lugs are nice and deep. The boots are pretty warm in winter. Ultimately, I'm returning these because I dread putting them on.

These failed the waterproof hike through the snow and slush my socks got wet!! I am extremely disappointed with my new hiking boots. Such a waste of money i bought these especially for that feature but I am disappointed I could have had hypothermia!!

Very glad I tried these. I have been so frustrated by hiking shoes being either too stiff to get good traction or too flexible, causing aching feet. These hit the sweet spot for me. Great traction gives me confidence moving and somehow natural movement of my feet means no aching feet after the hike. I love these.

I love these hiking boots. I have a painful bunion post-kids (yayyy) and these don't hurt at all. And I tried many pairs of hiking shoes before landing on these. I sized a full size up for sock room; love them.

I was nervous about buying a new pair of hiking boots as a size 7.5 because I never know what will fit my wide feet correctly. I got a size 8 and they are perfect, so comfy walked 3.5 miles no problem. Where as my sketcher boots wouldve given me blisters. Plus the brown with the red laces is super cute. Very pleased.

Pressure on top of feet that cuts off circulation

I like Xero Shoes and have had several different types. These are made well and supportive in ankles. My problem with them is they some how mysteriously press on my feet on the top so circulation gets cut off. I have to mess around with the laces constantly but never really feel great. Good room for toes though. It’s a mystery. I do better with the winter boots than these. No other Xero Shoes has caused this for me.
