I love North Face jackets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually returned the Women's Freedom Jacket (it was too tight under my arms with a heavy sweater on ). But, I traded it in for the Men's Freedom Jacket which was much roomier for me. I am very pleased with it so far as for roominess when wearing a heavy sweater underneath. So far have only worn it in pouring rain & it held up really well. Unfortunately, since I just bought it recently, it hasn't gotten cold enough here in New England to test it in that type of weather. I'm sure it will handle the cold really well as my past jackets from the North Face have done. I'm very pleased with it.

So nice AND handy chest pocket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coat in boysenberry after Chicago got hit with lots of snow and below zero temperatures. As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat isn't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over $300. It fits great (it isn't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. I also love the chest pocket--I put my phone in there and can listen to a podcast as I walk my dog. Well worth the money!

Kept me warm in the Arctic Circle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this jacket to Finnish Lapland in February. I wore 2 other TNF layers and a sweater and this kept me warm in - 22 celsius cold weather with wind. It was perfect.

Terrible customer service

Bought a coat for a Christmas gift, came damaged. Company wouldn't do an exchange made me return the damaged coat and repurchase a replacement. Instead of giving me a refund for the damaged coat they charged me again so I have been charged 750.00 for one coat at this point that will probably arrive damaged like the first one. Will never purchase from this company again.

Cool, lightweight, warm for early winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket has brilliant insulation and works well in the colder winter months. I've been using it between temperature ranges of 0-10 degrees Celsius and it works very well. Because of the lightweight nature of the jacket it doesn't feel too heavy to wear, walk around in, or even to carry. It is definitely waterproof as I have used it in the rain (not heavy but for drizzle) and has a sleek look. If you're looking for something warm and lightweight that adjusts to the temperature of your body then I would say look no further.

Lite Lilac is the perfect color!

I fell in love with the beautiful Lite Lilac color and hoped it would look the same as it did on the screen. Yes! The actual color was exactly what I was looking for. The color isn't too light; it's really a nice shade. I'm 5'5" (164 cm), and the size S fit me well. Since it's a ski jacket, the sleeves are long. Surprisingly, it's really light, yet thick enough that I won't feel cold while snowing. It's a perfect, dreamlike jacket for me :D

Very, very long sleeves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a short person, 5'1". My arm length is on the short side given my height. Some coat's sleeves run long, but usually only by an inch or 1.5 inches. The sleeves of this goes pass my fingertips by an additional 1+ inch. While returning, the salesperson said this jacket's sleeves is meant to go to mid-hand or base of fingers and cover the ski gloves well but not as long as how it fitted on me. Just not meant for me.

All the Features with a Great Look

For me this is a great everyday jacket from October thru April. Lightweight but warm, inside snapping layer to keep out the chilly winds, a great hood to use when it rains or snows, really waterproof. Not too long. Easy to zip. Lots of pockets on the outside and inside. Sleeves are plenty long, with Velcro tighteners. Looks great too - little bit fitted, but room for a thick sweater. Perfect.

I would buy this jacket again and highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket was bought for my trips to Big Sky Mt. it is always very cold there. This jacket worked great for my trip at Christmas. It is thinner lining but it was very warm and wind resistant. It is a ski jacket but I use for just outdoors wear. I love all the pockets and the longer length than normal jackets. The fit was great ordered using the size chart.
