Essent Warm Pocket Failure

These are Essent Warm leggings. I have 4 pair and 2 of them have developed a hole in the pocket. It can only be seen when they are turned inside out but it can be felt when you put your hand in the pocket. I rarely use the pockets and when I do, it’s just to stash my wedding ring (just a band, no stones) for a short period of time. These are only 2 months old. I have worn them maybe half a dozen times. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of seam failure?

Fabric is not durable to washing or climbing

Unfortunately disapointed. While the fabric is warm, soft, and breathable, it doesn’t hold up. I’ve worn these twice. After washing there was some pilling. Half way through my climb yesterday, the fabric was wearing tons under my harness. I love the color and for running they might do. But for the price and considering arc’teryx is a climbing company, I’m super bummed. It should also be noted these run narrow through the hip. I ordered a size 6. I’m 5’3” 130lb. They fit but couldn’t go any smaller. Going to give these a few more wears but may be returning.

Size Chart is Accurate!

Love these leggings! The material is so comfortable and the drawcord is a great addition. Unfortunately, I ordered 1 size larger than my normal size because so many reviews stated that these run small. Nope! They run exactly as the sizing chart indicates. I’m 5’5” and 125 lbs with a 27.5” waist. I normally wear size 4 but I purchased size 6 based on other reviews. I almost kept them but the waist band was just a bit too loose and I read a lot of reviews that said the waist gets baggy with wear. So I returned them. Unfortunately, size 4 in black is sold out now 😩. If they get more in stock, I will definitely repurchase!

Wayyy off on sizing.

In what universe is this a size 4? After struggling to get the over my feet I could not get the past my knees.! Seems like they'd be nice if I could get them on :(

Too small

Legging was too small (4 is my normal size in Arc'teryx bottoms). Sized up to a 6 and they fit once on but require some effort to get on. I think the fit needs to be improved here as I dont think anyone should have to order 2 sizes up. I really like design otherwise (waist height, length, pockets). They are warm enough for outdoor activities in mild winter weather and I have also worn them under shell pants for snowboarding. Nicely breathable, when I was sweating on top my legs did not feel hot or sweaty.

Great for Hiking and Active Days!

[Employee of arcteryx] I’ve been using these tights for a while now on hikes and for other sports, and I really like them. They fit snugly, but the fabric is stretchy enough to move comfortably with you during any activity. One of the best features is the number of useful pockets — perfect for stashing snacks, keys, or a phone. I also love the mesh paneling from the back of the knees down — it really helps with ventilation and keeps you feeling cool, even during intense movement.

Great Winter Tight or base layer.

I wear the Essent Warm High Rise Tights in the winter as a standalone tight for mild days or layer them underneath jeans/ other pants on colder days as a base layer. The fit is flattering and pockets are great when worn alone, as is the high waist and drawcord. I like these tights when worn underneath other pants as their smooth texture allows pants to glide over them, creating a comfortable layering system. I find the tights too warm to wear while exercising indoors but perfect for cold hikes and runs. I have very short legs and typically have a 5cm roll at the cuff when wearing these tights. I am 5'4 and 132lbs with athletic thighs and a 26 waist, and I find that a size 4 fits me well.

Great winter tight

Ideal tight for when temperatures are cooler. These don't restrict motion, but add significant warmth.

Nice work Arc

Love the fit of these. I also love the sizing metric Arc is using in their leggings. I know that women come in so many different sizes, so just because these worked for me doesn't mean they'll work for everyone. The waist on these for me is snug but not uncomfortable - note that I don't tend to get waist gap, so that is not typically an issue for me. The height feels perfect and almost identical to Lulu. I got these in the same size that works for me in Lulu. Size 6 - I am almost 5'6 and just shy of 130. No muffin top or anything like that. Nice work Arc.
