Took my Merrells to Iceland and they did not disappoint. My feet were warm, dry and comfty during 10 days of adventures....waterfalls, glaciers, & hikes for miles. My husband loves his just as much.
These are really the look I wanted, they were super comfy with "Superfeet Hike Support Insoles". I wore them in iceland on/in a glacier, in the city, on/in a volcano, etc. My feet were warm the whole time. I love the zipper function, if you do not fold the zipper down against the shoe is will rub against things and come unzipped. But after it happens a few times you remember to press it down. I would recommend going a whole size up, I went up a half size which was fine most of the time, but on the longer hike I did end up having some swelling that left me uncomfortable.
Took my Merrells to Iceland in December. They were warm, and comfortable for walking a lot. Just what I was looking for!
My daughter purchased a pair of these a year ago and really liked them. This year I bought a pair as well due to her recommendation, and I'm NOT sorry! These boots are FANTASTIC! They were comfortable to wear from day one with no breaking in period, and they are cute as heck to boot (pun intended). YES!! I live in the Pacific NorthWET and the boots have lived up to their waterproof reputation, keeping my feet warm and dry. The sizing is pretty right on as well. Technically, I'm a 6-1/2 - 7 Wide and I purchased a size 7-1/2 to allow for thicker socks, and these are a pretty sweet fit. I'd HIGHLY recommend them.
Fit slightly narrow in the toe box. I do not have wide feet and got my regular size. I wouldn't recommend sizing up or the heel will be sloppy. Break in well, overall nice boot good for winter trails. Warm, good traction, stay in place if you do the laces up right. I just wish shoe companies would quit thinking all women have fairy feet which are extremely narrow. As mentioned, I do not have a wide foot so if you do, I don't recommend.
Always buy Merrell for outdoors and work on our alpaca farm. Never have to worry about fit or even breaking them in! They’re always comfortable and durable!
These boots state they are hiking, well don’t hike through a lot of snow. The moisture will soak through the laces and my side zipper comes down when I don’t noticed while snow ends up in my shoe. Just disappointed with these boots. They shouldn’t say hiking. More like casual wear, or casual hiking that doesn’t require you to track through snow that’s almost to your knees because your feet will soon be soaked.
I bought these boots based on brand recommendations from a friend who is an avid hiker. I wore them to Yosemite and hiked/walked about 5-6 miles in one day without any issues. They’re comfortable, water proof, and easy to put on and take off (thanks to the zipper). I bought my usual size and they fit great.
These Siren 4 Mid Zip Waterproof are an option that holds a bit more on the walking surface because of the sole bottoms. I bought another pair of Merrell boots with a flatter bottom for different use. These are great for cool, wet days. I find them quite comfortable, like the zip (and do need to undo a bit of the lacing too — but it’s nice to have both as it makes on and off faster. Have used for walking the dog and doing errands. Have been warm enough, though I didn’t buy for cold weather per se. And it’s been rainier rather than snowy. Love that they are waterproof.
I just got it now. And im so happy to my purchase. I haven't tried it yet but it looks like so comfy.
