Warm and lightweight
I am rock climber and mountaineer. I used this Air Mesh Hoody for my recent hikes and climbs in Wind River Range and around Wyoming, this end of fall. The weather gets super chilly post noon but I didnt additional layer as this kept me pretty warm during my activities. I am usually an S And this S does fit well, slightly loose fit. Best part is the breathability which I dont get if I wear a fleece or puffy or have an inner layer. The fabric is soft, compressible and offers range of motion very well. Found this ideal for cold weather outdoor activities. Did biking, climbing, running and backpacking. Best if you want to combine 2 layers and carry only single one.
So Soft, So Comfy
This hoodie creates a sweet, cozy, happy space. I purchased this hoodie for a mtb, kayaking, and rafting trip to Vermont and WMass this month, June 2022. The weather has been cool and damp, mid 50’s at night to low 70’s in the days. Yesterday, it rained lightly on and off most of the day. I wore it under my splash jacket, and it was just enough to ward off the river water and rain. It kept me the perfect temp all day long, and dried out fast after our river trip. It’s really a great weight for athletic activities in cooler damp temps — so soft, so lite, and very very cute! Love it!
Breathable and warm
I wore this for a big through hike as my warm layer. It’s ultra lightweight, packs down small and keeps you warm when you need it. I love this hoodie.
Lightweight and Warm
I've had this piece for about a month and it's been my go-to layer for colder days at the crag. The mesh is super breathable but also keeps me warm. It packs down so small, I can keep it in the side pocket of my multi-pitch pack or day pack for cragging. I love how the collar sits high to keep my neck warm but also stretches a ton, so I'm not struggling to put it on or take it off. If you tend to get cold easy, like me, I highly recommend this piece.
Fabric feels like cotton candy.
I didn't bother to try these on. I bought them in two sizes hoping one would fit. However, I only needed to touch them to know I was going to return them. They are made with a fabric I can't bear to touch, much less wear. It may be just me, but the fabric feels like touching cotton candy, sticky and a little gross. Otherwise, they are fine. If texture isn't an issue for you, you may be well pleased with this product. It's not for me.
Obsessed
I love this shirt. It keeps you the perfect temp - the mesh allows air in, and the fleece material on the inside keeps you warm. I wore it on a shady hike on a pretty warm day, and honestly, I forgot I was wearing it. I’m taking it with me on my hike of the tour du mont Blanc and expect it will be great for layering. It’s also so light and packs down!!
Love it, ordering my 2nd in a different color
Love this layer for cold weather running, climbing, XC skiing and mounting biking. It has held up beautifully for the last year in heavy rotation in all seasons except summer, no tears or signs of abrasion from the rock. I love how versatile and cozy it is without getting clammy. The fabric feels so nice on the skin. It is loose so size down.
Super soft and comfortable
During the winter months I ski as much as possible, and working for a guiding company this season I anticipate using a variety of base layers to meet my needs in all the weather the PNW can through at a skier. I also have the AirMesh long sleeve, and personally I like the hoody a little more - I'm partial to hoods. I am usually right between a medium and large, but go with the large in brands I know won't make long enough sleeves - MHW make this a bit big for a medium but I absolutely love that - lots of length and room to move. I expect this layer to preform really well on the up-track, but I'll probably reserve it for colder days. I've had it out on several runs so far and found it to breath well and dry VERY fast (a huge plus in my book - no one likes wet base layers in the backcountry). The AirMesh fabric is so light - this would be an excellent layer to have on a hut trip or traverse! Lots of warmth for the weight and very durable so far.
Excellent piece, runs large
I'm actually editing a review I posted previously, in which I neglected to mention that I normally wear a medium, ordered a small in this, and it fits great. It has a relaxed fit, and sizing down still allows me to wear a t-shirt or tank comfortably underneath. I like it more every time I wear it!
Light and warm but size down
It's light, warm, and comfortable, but the sizing is off. It fits really large and baggy. It is not flattering on me. I also noticed that if you sweat in it once, you'll need to wash it. It will be a nice layer when I play tennis this winter, but if you buy one, size down.
