Stylish and functional Chelsea boot
The Forsake Lucie Chelsea is a really stylish, durable option for a day-to-day commuting shoe that you wouldn’t be afraid to wear in inclement weather. The best part is the thick and sturdy sole that stood up to pavement and “off roading.” I wore these for daycare pick up for my kids and then on a walk in our local state park and playground. They stood up to both! Plus I loved that they were stylish and functional. The color is a little darker than what is pictured on the box, definitely on the darker side of tan. The pull tabs on the front and back of the shoe are really helpful for pulling on and off. My only distraction is I think they run a bit narrow for my taste.
Cool Street Shoes!
This is a great casual everyday boot. I wore them around town and for gardening. They may take some time breaking in. The ankle on this boot was initially a bit uncomfortable - rubbing against my skin - but felt better after I wore them a couple of times. It took a bit of effort initially pulling the boot and and off. (As a gentle FYI, I have somewhat "skinny" ankles.) To me, these boots feel a bit heavy on the feet as I'm used to wearing lighter shoes. For hiking, I prefer a trail runner. I recommend trying these boots if you're looking for something fun and casual to wear around town or while gardening!
Good quality, but runs one full size small
This Forsake boot seems like it would be a good cold weather option. I ordered my usual size of 8½. I could barely get my foot in it, but was able to with a long shoe horn. My toes were up against the from of the shoe. Since I couldn't walk in it I can't comment on the feel. I would say it runs a full size short. The quality of the leather and lining appear to be very good. I will update my review if I'm able to obtain a larger size.
Great boot… if you can get it on your foot
I love the look of these shoes. They seemed like a perfect everyday boot, and I had hoped to take them on an upcoming trip to Europe in December where I know I will be walking around on some chilly and damp days. The leather is sharp and the weight of the shoe is perfect. However, I cannot even get them up over my ankle. I don’t have a particularly wide or narrow foot, although I have a bit of a high arch. These won’t even pull up over my heels in bare feet. If you have a narrow foot, or want to try ordering a size up, I would recommend giving these a shot. For me, in my true size, they are pretty much useless.
Perfect Fall Boots
First- I want to say I love these boots. They are exactly what I wanted. The are super comfortable all day and they breathe. I have worn them all day inside to out and my feet are never too hot or sweaty! You need to order up! They are tight in the length and wider than I would expect for the length. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me, so I asked some friends to try them on as well. All came back with the same feeling. These boots are super cute and perfect for everyday wear. They do run small. I’m usually a size 6.5 to 7 but these are a size 8. The opening is tight at first but gradually loosens the more you wear them. I’ve worn them casually and on longer walks. They are breathable and my feet don’t get overly hot in them. The boots were tight to put on and off as well the first 3-4 times. That has loosened. I am actually glad about this, as the boots have maintained their support. I was hoping to try out the traction but it has been so warm in Alaska this fall I haven't had a chance. Buy these boots, but size up, or try them on in store.
Cute and comfortable (for a narrow foot)
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. The instep is quite narrow, at the arch, but there is plenty of room in the toe box. I find these boots to be really cute, but not the right fit for my foot. If you have a wider foot I'd steer clear, but otherwise I recommend.
Very tight opening
I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. These boots did jot work for me because I could not get my feet in the top. The elastic is so tight and so stiff that my feet would cramp as I tried to get them in. I am a size 7, so my feet are not exceptionally big. That being said, the boots appear to be very well made. The stitching looks sturdy and is guaranteed for 1 year. The soles are strong and thick enough to keep you dry in puddles. There seems to be little or no arch support. I'm sure these boots would work for someone, but for me, I would rather have had a zipper.
Great boots for short adventures!
These are great boots. Durable, waterproof, and cute! They don’t have a lot of arch support or much cushioning, but overall, they are perfect for short adventures.
Worth every penny
I find these shoes very comfortable, with a generous toe box that doesn’t look too wide and arch support. I find that though they were tight to get into when I first got them, they broke in very quickly. I usually order a 7.5-8 and went for an 8 which fits great! The quality is apparent and green/tan colorway is perfect. Very happy with my purchase!
Weird fit but potential to love
I honestly think the design specs need to be tweaked because the opening and too of foot is extremely tight so much that its making my toes numb after 1-2 hours wear. The length is true and the tow box is generous, just what i love, but weirdly the arch support is too far back which ive seen others mention so TBD if they will not go back.
