adidas  Duramo SL EL K Road-Running Shoes - Kids'

These shoes were sent to us for testing, and were sized for my almost 7yr old son. They're designed for pavement running, similar to the adult versions, but tailored for kids. They've done a really good job of bringing the adult concept down to the youth version, sacrificing appropriate detail for a realistic pricing on youth shoes. Quality children's shoes are hard to justify, given how fast a child will grow and be out of the shoe, but I think they've made their product a viable option here. If your child is active enough to justify legitimate active footwear, these are a great purchase. The shoe itself is well designed. The lacing on the front stretches appropriately over the bridge of the foot and snugs the shoe, while the velcro strap works well as the primary way to secure the shoe overall. The sole picks up the heel well for running, and the internal padding is probably the most comfortable shoe my son has ever worn and he comments on that every time he puts it on. Also, the red tab on the back isn't just decor, it's a pull tab to slot the end of the shoe over the heel, making this an easy shoe to throw on as both the kid and the parent. A good thought on Adidas's part. The tread is clearly designed for pavement, so I wouldn't buy it when you're pushing primarily dirt trails or muddy terrain, but for it's intended purpose, it's very good. The only con I've seen to the shoe is the sizing is just a hair small. We measured his foot prior to ordering, and it fits very well but with little room for growing. We maybe have just a few months before he'll be stretching the shoe and need to go up another size. If we were to order again, we'd likely go up a half or full size. On the plus side, I expect the shoe's quality to carry it through our next two boys just fine. Overall, a great shoe. One I would definitely recommend even at full price for active kids in the city limits.

These shoes are light, seem pretty durable, and are comfortable. It is a bit early to discern their durability, but they seem to be of solid construction. They are made of recycled materials. The rubber sole is super grippy and still holds up when wet. The velcro strap has a slightly obtuse design. Part of the sticky part of the velcro covers the tongue. So it can be a bit difficult to get that right, especially for those that are less dextrous than others. The tongue is a bit flimsy and easily pulled down when putting the shoe on. And, as an added bonus, my young one said they make them "run super-duper fast".

When you're 5, picking out shoes comes down to two things: do they look cool and are they fast. Well according to my son, these check both boxes. The shoes are surprisingly light (especially compared to light-up shoes), have held up to his rigorous torture tests so far, and have had no complaints about them not being comfortable. The mesh tops allow his feet to breath, and make it easier to feel when he's about to out grow them. All in all a pretty solid shoe for active kids.

These shoes are a hit. The kiddo tells me they are really comfortable and that they make him really fast. I like that they look sharp and they they are really easy to take on and off, so little hands can do it without help.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable but definitely not a durable one ! After less than a week shoelace displaced from its place ! I think those laces were glued to inside the shoes ! It's not acceptable for only a few days of wearing!

This is a great kids show. The size 13 kids fits my 5 year old perfectly. Easy to get on and off. They look great. My kid describes them as “super grippy” and “fast”. He looks very comfortable in these shoes.

My son loved these, but in comparison to other styles on the same size they are very small. Great value for money on the sale so I will order some bigger sizes while still on offer !

Love them at all, the color that are used for this pair make them beautiful
