Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

The perfect fit for a hiking shirt
This is a great hiking shirt. It meets my criteria: great length, slim cut, plenty of stretch, good neckline, and a soft wicking fabric. 1. Length - Just long enough that it overlaps my shorts/pants for coverage (and can be tucked in) but just short enough that it looks good untucked. 2. Slim fit - Cut slim so that it is flattering instead of boxy, but without being tight. 3. Stretch - Stretches with me and does not restrict movement. This also means I can easily push the sleeves up onto my shoulder for a sleeveless feel. 4. Good neckline - Neckline doesn't choke but is high enough to avoid getting unflattering tan lines while out hiking. 5. Fabric - Butter soft and wicked well on a 90 degree day. Also, strong - I bush whacked through tall grass, overhanging branches, and cockleburs, and the shirt felt protective without snagging. I often hike with a big backpack or a heavy camera and binoculars. The shirt handled the various straps without causing uncomfortable abrasion or damaging the fabric. If you are in doubt about the size, size up. I typically wear an XS or S in clothing. The S was the right size for me. I would love to see this shirt in a wide range of colors.
Fantastic simple tee
This shirt surprised me. Fresh out of the box- nothing struck me as unique or great about it. Once wearing it- super comfortable. Feels like a blend of a cotton shirt and a moisture wick shirt. Wore it all day- around the home and with kids. Lunch hands got wiped down the front of me, and a wet paper towel cleaned the mess right off. No sweat stains throughout the day and it was very comfortable. Has a slight scoop in the hem line making it sit a little lower than waistline- which I loved. It washed and dried well- No pilling and no shrinking. Perhaps my only point of feedback is the color- teal was advertised and the image online seemed almost dusty blue. If teal and hunter green produced a color- that’s what the shirt is Ike to me. Overall- I would buy this shirt and in multiple colors. Photo is fresh from the dryer- make sure to hang it up as it’s not wrinkle resistant
Comfortable top for all kinds of activities!
Lightweight, comfortable and multipurpose - this is easily a "go-to" top that I'll be wearing for many different activities (running, hiking, exploring cities while on vacation, lounging around) and probably picking up several different colors just to keep my options open! I sized up for a looser fit, but the size seems to run true to fit. The teal color seems a bit more green than what's pictured on the website, but it's a beautiful color - different enough on the trails so that you're not blending in with the grays and khakis that's so typical of hiking clothing, but not so bright to be an eyesore. This is probably a 4.5 star product for me and I'm hoping to find there are more colors available. I took off half a star because there's no hiding your sweat on this shirt. Maybe it's less obvious on lighter colors (??). It does dry quickly, and, for me, it's the sign of a good hike or run if you've worked up a good sweat but it might not be the look you're going for if you're just walking around town on a hot day.
Comfortable + versatile
I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers program in exchange for my honest review. I ordered my usual size (small) which fits me larger than normal so I’m fairly certain I could’ve sized down. I’ve worn this shirt on two separate outings: one for a trail run with a running vest in hot summer weather and the other for a hiking trip in mild temps. The shirt held up well and wicked sweat in mild temps but was drenched in warmer temps. By the end of my run, the back of the shirt was soaked and felt heavy and it took a little while to dry. However, overall I like the feel of the material, it’s comfortable on its own or with a backpack and the longer sleeves + the crew neck help with sun exposure. A solid choice for casual wear, mild temp activities, shorter outings, or working out.
Great fit and fabric
Many shirts lately are cut shorter or tighter than I prefer. This one isn't, but it's also not particularly long or loose. For me, it's the Goldilocks length and fit. The fabric is soft, wicking, and midweight. I would not wear this shirt in the heat of the summer when I'd want something lighter (both in color and weight), but it's perfect for spring and fall mild-to-warm weather. My only dislike is that the neckline is just a tad too high and feels a little choking when I first put it on. Once I start doing something, I don't notice it any more, but I wish it were half an inch lower to avoid that initial "Did I put the shirt on backward?" feeling.
Great technical shirt!
This a great technical shirt! The fabric is silky and soft and drapes nicely. Has a loose fit that maintains its shape without being boxy. I wore it for an indoor spinning class and also did a 5 mile run outdoors in high heat and humidity conditions. The fabric wicks beautifully and drys quickly so I never felt wet even with a heavy sweat from the heat. I’ll definitely be reaching for this shirt often for workouts!
Finally, from a plus size
I purchased the 3x. I'm usually a 2x, but REI runs small, in my opinion. Tops too small in this fabric tend to show every roll, everything you prefer not to have accentuated. This one does not. I absolutely love it. It's long enough that when i lift my arms, my belly doesn't show. I love the raisin color so much. It seems tops in plus size for hiking are cutesy pinks and other pastels. I am thrilled with this top, and I ordered the blue just a few minutes ago.
Loose fit and a comfortable shirt
This shirt fits me loosely, which is fine for casual running or sport, but doesn’t feel like the one I would wear for races. However, besides the fit, it feels very comfortable and absorbs sweat nicely. Thus, depends on what you are looking for, this shirt might meet your needs or not
New version much smaller than before
Bought one before ... the new model is much smaller and shorter. Bought a small, will try to replace for a M. 5'8" 36B, 145#
Look no further, this is the shirt for you!
When it comes to gearing up for a backpacking adventure, having the right clothing can make a world of difference. I recently put the REI active pursuit shirt to the test on a multi-day trek through the Sierra Nevada, and it proved to be lightweight and breathable. It did an excellent job of pulling sweat away from my skin and allowing it to evaporate quickly. During my trek, I noticed that it retained a slight odor after a couple of days without access to laundry facilities. While it wasn't overwhelming, it wasn't entirely odor-resistant either. A shirt with more potent odor-controlling capabilities (such as wool) might be a more suitable choice for longer backpacking trips. But thats what you get when you go synthetic, soft, lightweight, quick dry but gets stinky after a couple days. I do recommend this shirt for anyone who wants a lightweight, quick dry, comfortable shirt.
