So very warm!
Bought coat for trip to Austria. It was snowing and got down to -9 celcius. The coat kept me perfectly warm. It even holds up to light rain. The hood is great. It's not too big, just right. The only minor issue I experienced is the zipper. It's a little touchy and gets stuck in the material sometimes. I was always able to free it though.

Garbage.
Absolute garbage. I got this in the winter of 2022 and within a day or two, four buttons ripped out. It has holes all over the outside material (from what even?!). It's super cheaply made, the fabric tears easily, hardware is garbage. It actually makes me really upset because I spent 360$ at the time and it lasted a few days. Right now I have the hood super glued on because those buttons ripped out and fell out too🤢I literally only wear it to the grocery store and to work. I'm a teacher and I don't have a ton of money to throw down on a coat. I would never recommend this coat.

My Go To

I run cold and this has become my favorite parka, I keep reaching for it without thinking. It’s roomy and can be layered, but I like to wear it with a light cashmere sweater under and I get so warm that I have to unzip it all the way. The neckline is right, the hood is lovely, no cold air enters through my sleeves, the length is just perfect the fabric is excellent on windy days, I don’t feel anything inside, this feels like a very good hug. I own Moncler (their stuff is warm) but I love Patagonia’s transparency about their supply chain, prioritization of recyclable materials, commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

Perfect for southern Wisconsin winters

After enjoying my old Down With It parka for 8 years, I picked up a new one when I spotted a fun colour. I live in southern Wisconsin and find this a perfect winter coat. I’m 5’8” and very happy with the sleeve length (the sleeves on women’s clothes are often a little short for my liking; I prefer my wrists to stay covered when I extend my arms). The outer pockets are big enough for gloves plus useful items like travel size hand lotion, lip balm, and my hands. The inner pocket is also a nice size and shape; I don’t worry about my phone falling out. One feature I especially appreciate is the option to snap it instead of or in addition to zipping it. I expect this one will wear just as well as my old one, which had developed a couple of tiny holes at the cuffs but was otherwise in very good condition and still quite wearable. I could have gotten a large, but sized up to XL to accommodate the occasional bulky sweater and my tendency to cram lots of things into my pockets.

very slim fitting

Lovely coat but fit is very disappointing. Patagonia usually has a regular fit but this is very slim fitting. I'm 5'5, 128 pounds and it looks nice but would only be comfortable to wear with a shirt and skirt or slim pants. Not what I want in a winter down coat/parka. I got size M and I fall within the low side of the sizing measurements, but found it snug in the hips (with a light wool sweater on) and even across the upper back when I moved my arms. I tried a size L but sleeves way way too long and overall not a good fit at all. Too bad it won't work for me as it seems like it would be very warm. Also Patagonia is the only company that I can find making a down parka that still has a removable hood which was a big plus for me. All my previous down jackets and coats over the last 25+ years, from REI and 2 other companies, have had removable hoods but now no one seem to make, I guess in order to cut costs. I don't wear hoods and when they're attached they just get in the way of zipping the collar all the way up, and are also bulky, uncomfortable and add wieght. I really appreciate Patagonia's ethics and business practices and usually great quality so am very disappointed.

Be warm on very cold days with mid level activity

I ordered and considered 3 different women's longer length down coats. They were all great in some respect cost, color, pockets, ease of closures, yet this one hit the mark for me. Not too bulky, not too many zippers, ( just asking for one or more to be finicky). Great color to go with most of my winter accessories, perfect length on me and contoured seams that make a warmest rated winter coat have a sleeker appearance. I was also attracted to a removable hood with unobtrusive snaps.

Perfect Parka

This coat is everything I wanted! It is not too bulky, the baffling is attractive, it has shape it is not boxy. The hood is removable and the collar is clean without it. I also appreciate the front zip flap that covers the zipper. Pockets are nicely sized. I am 5'10 140lbs the medium was made for my body!

Perfect for Michigan winters

Moved from California to Michigan in 2022 and needed winter wear. The Patagonia Down With It parka kept me warm all winter, and is the perfect length. The best part and one of the deciding factors in purchasing this parka is the hood is removable, i really dislike hoods, would rather wear a hat. This parka is definitely worth the price.

Warm, great looking coat

Love the feel and fit of this coat! Feels very warm (I live in a northern state). The only drawback is that I’ve had to be careful when zipping up the coat so the zipper doesn’t get caught in the hem. Other than that - absolutely perfect! I’m 5 ft 9.5 in and 148 pounds and I fit a medium.

Nice lightweight, warm coat!

Great coat! This coat is warm, lightweight, and fits well. The profile is also very slim on this coat. I also like that it doesn't have fake fur on the head. I usually wear an XL, but sized up to an XXL to allow for layering. The dark purple is a nice, neutral color.
