Excellent full-cushioned hiking socks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these as a birthday gift for my wife. She has the lighter cushion version and really likes them so I thought I would give these a try. The weather was finally cool enough for hiking and she wore them on a hike out at Bastrop State Park last weekend. She really liked them and the extra padding and provided good protection against blisters. It was still warmish but her feet did not get overly toasty- the socks did a great job wicking moisture. Like all other Darn Tough socks, they seem long lasting and are also backed by a really good warranty. She looks forward to wearing them on our annual snowshoeing trip this winter. She thinks that is where they will really shine.

Long distance hiking best friend

I have a lot of hiking socks, but this is my first pair of Darn Tough socks. At the time I only bought one pair to test out but I am kicking myself for not committing to more. My husband and I backpack a lot and these socks got me through a 18 mile hike. Typically at 7 miles I personally start to feel pain and some tiredness in my feet with others brands that's how I know I'm nearing the 7 miles mark. However, with Darn Tough was able to hike 18 miles non stop with comfort and my feet suffered no blistering. I'm for sure transitioning all my socks to this brand of hiking socks.
