Peak Mission tights and Maipo tights had a baby
If the old Peak Mission tights and the Maipo tights had a baby, it would be these tights. To me these are more like the Maipo tights in fit and soft comfy feel. They don't stay in place quite as well as the Peak Mission tights and while they do have the brushed fleece inside, they don't seem as warm. But I do really like them and happily wear them. I have medium in the other tights and these but wonder if a small in these would have been better for me. 5'1" 122 lbs.
Lightweight, Comfortable
I was suprised these aren’t well liked. I found them loose enough to be really comfortable and liked the loose waistband. It has a string tie vs a snug waistband and I prefer it for heavier output activities when I’m breathing hard and don’t want any restriction. Wore them for a 5 mile run in 20 degree weather and felt perfectly warm but not overheated. I’ve bought them in every color and wear them as thermals and everyday leggings, too.
Not that warm and runs big
These are nice and good quality, but not as warm as I was hoping. The leggings are quite thin and I thought they were not warm enough for a 4 mile run in 20-30 degree weather. They have been fine in 40+ degrees - which is not that cold. Wish these were warmer. They also run large. I’m normally an XS and these fall down and and my phone bounces around in the side pockets when I run. At least they have a comfy drawstring, but it wouldbe better/more comfy if these had more compression or if they made them in an XXS.
See through material
Fleece inside is soft but the tights are see through, would expect better quality from Patagonia. I was hoping to wear these casually and to run but won’t be able to due to the see through material.
Surprising amount of warmth for the weight
I can't compare to the older version, but these were thin for a thermal legging. They were warmer than I would have expected, though, given their lightness. I need something for hiking and scrambling over rocks in cooler weather, though, and did not feel like these would be thick enough. The fit was a little loose for me in the legs, and, at 5'3" a bit long.
Not the same as the old Peak Mission Tights
Doesn't have the structured elastic waistband like the old peak mission tights had. The only thing good about these are the fact they're lightly fleece lined. Sad! Fits true to size.
