Goathead approved in Mesa
Using these on my Salsa Stormchaser SS and after just 300 miles not a single leak or flat. I pull out 5-10 goatheads or thorns during and after every ride. I ride with tubes so there's a weight disadvantage but the ride continues without patching or replacement. The ride continues without the hassle of sealant replacement or clean up. Is it the fest tire for rolling resistance? NO, is it light? NO, does it resist punctures from every kind of road debris? probably won't resist 1" drywall screws, but does resist evey goathead i've picked out. This is my favorite bike for a mix of reasons. It is the one I love to ride most, so weight is not a concern. Since it has a 38T/15T drivetrain, the weight is a benefit for training and overall strength. Jumping on a lightweight road bike, at approximately 10+ pounds lighter, is like riding on rails.
