Good option for an open cockpit kayak.
Definitely a great option for the open cockpit of the Beach LT. I'm a photographer and this helps protect my camera gear. My only gripe is the use of velcro to attach the splash deck. Velcro can get dirt and sand stuck in the fibers. It would be nice to have a more engineered solution. This method of attachment seems more like an afterthought. Still, it does work.
Splash Deck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The splash deck is very helpful however, the velcro attachments on the upper bow become detached after just a few uses, so something ORU could improve upon. I've had to add additional velcro strips to the existing set on my Beach Sport LT.
Good but longer would be better
The Beach LT Splash Deck is a good addition to keep some of the paddle splash out of the boat but if it was a longer length it wound do a much better job keeping paddle splash out and shade my legs. It only covers my feet.
Nice to have!
This makes sure that my feet not only stay dry from paddling, but they are also shaded from the sun. I might put a jolly roger on it to make my boat look like the valkyrie from the Robotech/Macross series.
A bit short
Well made and easy to install. I gave it 4 stars because I hoped it might cover a bit more. It's not gonna keep any "splash" off my feet. It only covers the front of the extremely long cockpit.
Splash deck
Great addition to the open bow (which I prefer) keeps the drips from paddle or small rogue wave from passing boat out of the kayak. Glad I got it
Excellent addition
Have Splash Deck for both Beach LT and Beach LT Sport. Recommended for both sun protection as well as water splash protection. Easy to install.
Shoulder Strap
This shoulder strap is very sturdy and works well when lifting the inlet. It has good padding on it and is comfortable on the shoulder.

I am glad I got it as it makes it easier to carry the kayak along with the other things one needs to paddle. It is a strap. It works.
