I do NOT recommend buying an e-bike from REI! 1/5 stars for the REI bike shop service and 3.5/5 stars for the Cannondale Tesoro bike. I bought this bike and waited two weeks for the shop to assemble it...turns out they didn't properly mount the battery and tighten things so the e-bike kept randomly turning off within the first few days after pickup. Super dangerous! They also incorrectly adjusted the derailleur...I had to take four trips back and forth to the REI bike shop after picking up my new bike to get them to properly fix the bike. Now the issue is the Intuvia Display won't turn on...bike shop first had me buy a replacement display battery and then realized that apparently it is a "known issue with these products due to bluetooth connectivity"...I spent more time waiting for a fix, picked up my "fixed display" and two weeks after that the display is once again kaput. Luckily the bike at least works without the display. I have received no apology or restitution from the REI bike shop for all of these hassles. The bike itself is powerful e-bike that rides smoothly over potholed streets. I love that the battery can be removed, charges quickly, and is locked back onto the bike with a key. In terms of range: 36% of the battery was used to go 24 miles on some hilly streets at an average of half power (2.5 out of 5). Turbo power would have likely used more juice but I've still been happy with the relatively long range and powerful pedal assist this bike provides on steep terrain.
