I primarily use it in a lake in the Pacific Northwest. It is stable for me. I’m a 190 lb dad. It can cruise through the water. My nine year old loves it too. He has learned that depending on where you stand on board he can turn differently. He walks up and down the board as he paddles. The kids bang it into our dock all the time. But it looks good as new. So good construction. It’s heavier than the inflatable boards, but still not too heavy to pick it up out of water and put it away. I’ll probably buy another this spring so we can go out on the lake together. I love REIs costumer service when buying this.
Bought this back in March and glad I got to try it out for the first time with my Aussie dog. Could support me, my 50lb dog, and the paddle that came with it was very effective in the water and height adjustable. Was very fast once we got the center of gravity figured out. I like the white color because it seems to be cooler to the touch on a hot sunny day. Customer service when picking this board up was very helpful too, he helped get the board on our car. We had a roof rack and Yakima SUPDawg to carry the board.
This SUP is perfect for beginner to intermediate paddlers. It rips in nearly all weather.
