Great purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with my 20 Liter compression sack. I use it for travel packing. It compressed my clothes with minimal effort and minimal wrinkled garments. Very easy to use and sturdy. I definitely recommend this and my brother-in-law bought two based on my suggestion! See my 'before' and 'after' pictures!!
Compression sack
Great size for my sleeping bag but we’re it attaches came apart. So will be returning it, my be another one Not sure yet. Over all great bag
Thoughtful Design
Bought this to replace an Ultra-Sil Evac Compression Dry Bag that I lost. Didn't realize that they'd replaced that product with a separate dry bag line and this Ultra-Sil Compression bag was different. But for my needs, it's better. No roll top, the compression lid top is hinged one one side and there's a buckle on one of the compression straps, so it's much easier to close properly without solving a knot puzzle or getting twisted straps.
Essential for compressing bulky synthetic quilt
This is the best compression sack I've ever used. My synthetic quilt doesn't pack small like a down one would. I couldn't have fit the bulky quilt into my backpack without the Ultra-Sil compression sack. It works perfectly, is built to last, weighs next to nothing, protects the quilt from moisture. While the sack is pricey, it's worth it.
A great space saver for smaller packs
This compression sack does exactly what it’s supposed to - compress. It does so with 4 evenly spaced straps. Even though this is sil-nylon (a bonus that it’s water resistant for my quilt), it compresses quite easily. My quilt fills it full prior to compression and this allows synching it down fully. Quite the space savings in my pack - I may get another just so I could put 2 sleeping bags/quilts in the same space 1 used to be.
Ultra-Sil Compression Pack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased one of each of these packs for my daughter and son in law for Christmas because they are frequent travelers who like to contain their luggage to carry ons and a backpack each, especially when traveling internationally. They also go skiing a couple times a year and on that trip they have to pack very bulky jackets, ski pants, sweaters and lots of layers of clothes. They have not traveled with them yet, but they did do an experiment with stuffing one of them and they were amazed at what they were able to pack and how small they were to shrink the sack down to! They can't wait to use them next month for a ski trip. I have now decided to buy one for myself.
Solid bag at a good price
Light and durable. Pretty standard compression sack. Easily held my food and such for a 3 night backpacking trip. Used it as my bear bag and slung it up into a tree. No damage or abrasions. Seems to be very light but has proven to be very durable. I have gone cheap on dry bags and compression bags in the past. Very glad that I spent the extra few bucks on this one.
Really well done!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for a beach vacay, with the hopes of compressing all my clothes, swim suits, etc to avoid a checked bag. I haven't gone on the trip yet, but I did test how many clothes it could stuff using clothes I had piled up in my hamper. I was very impressed, it could definitely hold more than a weeks outfits. the straps felt very durable. I was using my whole body weight and pulling as tight as I could, and the straps still felt like they weren't gonna budge. I'm very excited to be taking these on my trip, I'm looking forward to not having a huge mess of clothes and being able to comfortably pack other things in my carry on. Looking forward to using these on future trips!
Great for laundry on a trip with minimal luggage!
I bought this in anticipation of a week long trip to New York with only carry on luggage. We accumulate so much dirty laundry on our trip! Today I got it and stuffed a whole hamper of laundry in it and I got it reduced to one third it’s size. I think if I folded the clothes better I could probably compress it much smaller. I think I’ll have to order one for each of my family! I saw this reviewed on the NYT Wirecutter page.
Really let's you pack down a bulky bag.
I am amazed that I was able to stuff into this an old 5 1/2 lb sleeping bag. I figured why buy a new bag for a short trip with a family member when I could use the old bag but needed to compress it far more than the original bag allowed.
