Lost this piece of the Osprey hydration pack and was excited to find the part I needed at REI. Great price and it arrived quickly. Very pleased.
great for hydration bags
easy to install on hydration bag works great and holds hose securely
Attachment to sternum strap can work itself loose
Works well, however the piece that fixes onto the sternum strap can work loose. I am concerned that one day it will work loose, I won't notice and it will fall off. Apart from that it's been nice to have this hold the bite valve in place and off the floor/dirt.
Use caution.
Convenient, but read the warnings about the powerful magnet. I do not yet know how it will affect a magnetic compass.
