These shoes are extremely comfortable. I am giving them a 4/5 as the color green is lighter than a true olive green, which is what is shown on REI's website. Although I'm disappointed, I am still going to keep the shoes.
Runs large AND wide
Purchased for online pickup, but they were huge and very, very stiff. Much wider and stiffer than any Birkenstocks I've owned previously, and I've been wearing Birks since the mid 90s. I always wear a 38 (US 7/7.5)...these 38s fit like a 39 or 40, and were so wide, there's no way going down to a 37 would have made a difference in the toebox. Really disappointed as these seemed like they'd be darling summer sandals!
Pretty, but not the most comfortable
Pretty, but only 4 stars as these are not as comfortable as other Burkes I have.
Incorrect Item Description!
These sandals are labeled “Medium/Narrow” but I received “Regular/Wide”. Turns out, Birkenstock only makes them in Regular/Wide. The one star is for the patronizing tone I received from the REI employee when I returned them and mentioned the discrepancy. The employee said, “Yeahhh, Birkenstock sizes are confusing”
This is my first pair of Birkenstock.
This I bought for my wife, her first pair of Birkenstock, she is pretty happy with them.
