A snazzy minimalist shoe that gets the job done
Lighter than it's older sibling and more durable the Prio Neo is a good minimalist shoe, even for those of us with wider feet. I do wish they were just a little wider but they are stretchy enough to accommodate my feet and still have padding when my weight is fully on my feet. The traction on gym floors is great, I use them for volleyball and weight lifting and they've been holding up better than my previous Prio's so far. I just wish there were better color options. I find the sizing to be a half size larger than expected, my size 11's leaves almost an inch more shoe past my toe and it makes me feel like I'm wearing clown shoes sometimes. Not going to downsize because that means an even smaller toebox... "almost" perfect

Not very durable
Very comfortable shoe. It has been perfect for casual wear, walking, light running, and cycling. Unfortunately it is not very durable. After about a year of daily use, maybe a mile or two waking a day. The front toe has split a hole between the sole and the toecap. That area is held together with only glue.

Trust the process

This is my 1st pair of barefoot style shoes of any kind, as an apartment maintenance technician I do minimum 10,000 steps a day. The first two months were awful, my feet legs knees and back hurt BUT one day all paint went away and I haven’t had any soreness since. They are holding up great besides being tough to keep clean. I see other reviews about them coming apart but mine have experience only minimal fraying in high stress areas. I purchased these shoes March 2024 and have no need to replace them as of January 2025 I recommend them to anyone.

Great shoe, but slightly larger than other models!

Overall, the Prio line is great and this new model is no exception. Comfort and function is just like the original Prio, but the style is much more refined and fits with more clothes. HOWEVER, be cautious that the sizing is slightly LARGER than the original Prio, and all other Xeros for that matter. I am 12.5 in all Xeros, and I tried for over a week trying to adjust the laces and straps and ultimately I had to exchange. Width was similar, but it was just too long and I finally gave up and swapped them. Shout out to REI for the smooth exchange process!

Great shoes with one caveat

This is my first barefoot/minimalist zero drop shoe and I really like it. Has helped my foot pain already only 2 weeks in, so I am now looking at changing my other shoes to this style. The one thing to be aware of is that these are NOT non-slip soles. They are very slippery on wet floors more so than any other shoe I remember owning.

Great everyday casual or gym shoe

Great minimalist shoe. It's well built and has plenty of stretch. I went a half size down than I normally do for a better fit. They are now my every day use and I love them. I went with the white and they got scuffed/dirty fast, but that's what happens with shoes you wear everyday. Im looking at xero for their running shoe next

Best fit ever

The Xero Prio Neo Shoes get an A+ from my feet. They are super comfortable, well made and possibly the best fit for any shoes I've owned. I have a pair of the wool Xero shoes (several years old) that fit similarly which are also a favorite.

Comfortable with a minor flaw

The sole is really flexible and moves entirely with your foot for a super comfortable barefoot experience. The only gripe I have is that the heel material deforms and makes a clicking sound when coming back to place on every step.

Ok for the price but fragile

Build quality is not great. This is usually an issue with Zero shoes. This line also fit small.

Foot shape way off

The shoe is shaped like a hot dog bun. It allows your toes to splay but can’t lock down your heel. I would need to go down a full size to be maybe make it work and even then my heel isn’t the same width as my forefoot. I have an older pair (11 years) of Merrell’s and the foot shape is better. However, the sole is quite grippy and the quality doesn’t seem bad.
