Perfect if you use insoles for plantar fascists
Size runs a bit big & loose, low arch. Once I put my plantar fasciitis insoles into them they fit perfect, mostly because they ate up a lot of the excess space & brought the arch up to what I needed. The combination of my insole & the design of the heel made these very bouncy & comfortable. I’m in the medical field & work on my feet all day, I’m looking forward to having an extra bounce to my step with these.
We're happy to hear these worked out for you!
Disappointed…too narrow.
Love the look…hate the fit!! I have always wore a normal shoe and these are way too narrow.
We're sorry your new Merrells are not fitting you comfortably, but we appreciate your feedback on the sizing.
Versatile and supportive
Very supportive and comfortable for daily walks and serious hikes!
Love these shoes!
Bought a second pair within a few weeks of the first pair while they are still available. I own several different pairs of Merrell shoes/boots; they are all different, each pair feels and fits different, plus the sizes vary. I immediately liked this pair for three reasons: the fitted tongue, the feeling of good ankle support, plus they are very lightweight. The cons are the strap at the rear is not placed in a position to be useful in putting on the shoe. Also, when descending a pair of stairs on two occasions, the heel caught on the step. Use caution; i.e. be sure to have a stair rail if descending steps! They may feel stiff to some, but I prefer my footwear to feel "hard" or barefoot in contrast to a thick cushion feel.
Appreciate your stellar feedback!
Mixed feelings about these lightweight shoes
I initially found these shoes to be very comfortable. Actual use while walking many miles during a vacation trip proved them to be less comfortable. Apparently the heel is too narrow for my foot and my foot tended to slip forward a little. By the end of the day my toes were uncomfortable from hitting the front of the shoe. Another really annoying issue was that the laces do not stay tied. I realize double knots would have worked, but when there was the issue of possibly having to take them off in security lines that didn’t make sense. The shoes are very light, which turned out to be a good feature as I carried them in my suitcase while wearing my trusty sandals.
a very durable shoe after a LOT of use on pavement
I have had these and the slip-on version for a year now. I absolutely love them both. I have always worn a hole in where the big toe meets the next one and also out on the pinky toe due to bunions. The material that this shoe is made of is not only very durable, but lightweight. I have not even had a weakening in those areas. Also, they are a generous width in the toe area. The arch support seems to be very beneficial as well. I wish these were made in brighter colors (bright blue/orange) like some of the hiking shoes. It looks like these are being discontinued. I really hope not. I wanted to purchase some more of them.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and amazing feedback!
Best shoes ever!!
I bought this pair a few months ago and it has become my favorite shoe ever since. MERRELL has always made outdoor hiking shoes with good functions and quality. The main point is that the appearance design is always better than other brands. they are also very comfortable. It can be worn even with bare feet. It can be easily put on and taken off without untying the laces. The grip is also very good, which is very suitable for basic hiking. The streamlined appearance will not make the ankle look like typical hiking shoes or sports shoes that make your foot looks huge. low-profile and suitable for daily use. I wear them almost every day and plan to buy another pair. What I own now is color TEA. This color is rare and unique. I really like it. Hiking shoes usually focus on functionality, and the color is either very dark or very bright. I hope there will be more products with this kind of mid-tone.
You deserve the best! Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Missteree
My feet DO NOT like Merrill’s. However I have a pair of causal slip ins and these that I LOVE. I came to the site for another pair and I found green! They are super comfy. East to slip on and off. My only gripe is that I prefer a no-tie shoe. Otherwise a perfect 10 in my book. Oh and I love the “sock” style. Yes. 2nd pair on the way!!!
Yeah!! a white "un dyed" Merrell
True to size, nice uncramped foot bed. I would say they run a hair wide. I am a 10 but lean towards a 10 wide. The womens 10 fit me super. Look really nice, feel great. I feel nicely balanced. I have 4 other pairs of Merrel all different models. These are definitely going to become a favorite. I have work requirements for only white shoes. I've tried them all Hoka, Cloves, Nike, On Cloud, ASICS, Brooks.... for the love of God I am a barefoot girl at heart. I have 4 other pairs of Merrell and they are the ONLY shoe I don't die in when on my feet for long hours. I was so so so excited to find a "white" option in the Embark lace. I definitely need the wet/dry grip, I need the light weight, I need the float. The only thing that would make this better is a waterproof upper and better toe barrier. I will scotchguard to help with that and I'll surely be testing the washability. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Please keep un dyed versions as options :)
Great Shoe
Have had these for approximately 6 months and am so happy with them that I am ordering a second pair… I actually took ONLY these for a weekend trip and am sold! They can be slipped on/off without untying and the stability/support make a huge difference! Not to mention that they are such a cute shoe!
We appreciate your feedback.
