[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really have enjoyed using these shoes! First thing that jumped out to me was the excellent balance of stability underfoot, coupled with being incredibly lightweight. Maybe lighter weight than some of my normal road running shoes. Took them out in winter conditions and I’m not sure they’re the absolute best for really wet runs, but I’m looking forward to using them more in the PNW spring and summer time. Fit is right on point and true to size. The upper is really breathable and light, but there are some smart overlays of plastic/fuse material on the higher-abrasion areas of the shoe. Seems like these will last a good while.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit of the shoe is perfect. It provides a nice snug fit that I like when wearing shoes like this. The shoes feel very comfortable. They are suitable for all day wear. Even after wearing them for a few hours, my ankles did not hurt nor did my feet. The React cushioning makes for a cloud like feel. That is the best part of the shoe to me. The design of the shoe is simple. I like that. Even in other colorways, the shoe will be amazing. Definitely made for the long haul and wild horse in us all when it comes to being on an adventure. The only thing that got me was the tongue kept moving. It did not stay in place for me. I re-laced the one giving me the issues and it worked to a certain extent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm slowly getting back to running after a hiatus, and I'm currently 5 months pregnant. I've been through many trail shoes throughout my life and these blew me away. The fit and feel was perfect straight out of the box. I'm used to having to break shoes in slowly but these were comfortable for extended use right away. I could easily wear these all day if needed. The design is thoughtful, I love the tick boxes for distance run in them. My favorite part of this show is the comfort and the way the lacing feels, which is usually a sore point for me. I didn't have to do any creative lacing patterns to get these to fit without rubbing or cutting, which I love. I am completely smitten with these shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straight out of the box I truly enjoyed the Nike Wildhorse 8. Fit: True to size, ran exact to my normal size. Comfort: Took them for a run the first time putting them on. I was impressed that there were no hot spots and didn’t require a break in period. Not only that, I wore them walking around the city and they were great to wear all day. Look: Sleek without any distracting images on the sides. Enjoyed the black and grey look. Running/walking: Responsive underfoot while being protective of rocks and uneven trails. Glad to use these on both the trail and pavement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shows have become my go to for disc gold. They provided great comfort and support at the tee and while trekking through wooded terrain. I was particularly impressed with the support and cushion on the heel. The design was okay but I’d definitely like to see the show have some additional design options. I’ve worn these shoes all day in a job that requires me to stand for 10 hour shifts and found them to be comfortable and supportive for all day wear as well. The only thing I’d like changed is the design element. Love to see a little flair added to the shoe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first thought when i opened the box for these was WOW. A pair of Nike sneakers that are my favorite color scheme(black and grey) that I can use when I am walking trails. I had to wear these a few times to in order to get a good idea about how good they really are. The insoles are soft and forgiving. The texture of the outsole is tough and grippy. Florida trails can be muddy at times. These withstood the test. There is a decent amount of wiggle room for my toes, but not too much. They are a good fit and hug the foot comfortably. I am very happy with this item.
Love these shoes! I was worried they would be bulky, but they aren't. The upper is nice and breathable, the cushion feels really nice under foot, and the white, blue, yellow, red color looks great. The traction seems adequate for my needs. The tongue has the perfect amount of cushion to protect your feet from tight laces without being overly puffy. I wasn't sure how the rock plate would affect flexibility (I'm not a huge fan of carbon plates in road race day shoes for that reason), but these shoes are plenty flexible. They fit true to your nike size.
I had Pegasus trail 3 gore tex before these (which I still have but heavily used so starting to get a tad worn) the wild horse are my first experience of this model range but are the comfiest trainers I have ever had, the quality is fantastic to be honest I don’t go trail running in them just use them for every day as too nice to ruin!. I personally think Nike have nailed it on the head with these, the Pegasus sole although very comfy could feel a tad too springy at times where as these are a lot more controlled and you feel as though they are fixed more to the feet. I am so impressed and would definitely order the wild horse in future I’m glad they have gone away from the knobbly look of the 7’s which I wouldn’t have gone for based on looks.
I am extremely pleased with this shoe. I had originally purchased the Altra Lone Peak 6 for a Spartan race and they hurt my feet. I went with the Wild horses and I found they had a lot better cushioning when running. They had plenty of grip on the obstacles and I didn’t slip once. They got me through the mud and walls without any problems. They also drained well, I didn’t notice my feet get heavy after coming out of water. They also look a lot better than a lot of the trail running shoes on the market. Very happy with the purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Wildhorse 8 fit my feet like a glove. The entire shoe was comfortable all around and didn’t require any time to “break in” as some do. I think the style of the shoes is modern without being over the top. The shoes make feet look a little sleeker, which doesn’t often occur with wearing a sneaker. The black and grey are very fashionable and easy to match with several outfits. I wore these sneakers all day long on a several occasions and they were very comfortable. My favorite aspect of these shoes is that in addition to being very comfortable, my feet felt well supported, more than many other sneakers I have worn. If I could change something, it would be to make the sneaker a little more durable/waterproof. In heavy rains, socks can get a little damp. Overall, love these shoes!
