I'm so bummed out. I ordered these expecting a good quality pair of thermals but I just discovered a hole in them after ONE wear! The waist seam line is super flimsy. I'm feeling huge buyers remorse - these definitely aren't worth the money and certainly aren't the quality I've come to expect from Smartwool.
This is a great underlayer and sleep layer for camping. Personally, I found the top ran true to size, but I could have sized down on the bottoms. I'm usually a 2X or 3x 22W with a one size up or down based on the fit of any specific style.
Unfortunately I’ll be returning these. They won me over at first for how warm and cozy I was the first night of camping but the next morning they already had a run in the back (literally all I did was sleep in them?) and then quickly they got a hole in the knee. My husband even remarked on how thin they were (you can see right through them) while I was getting up and moving around camp. I am bummed they don’t seem durable or like they would last at all, they were very comfy to sleep in.
I've worn these under pants and pants when cold, by themselves, and as pajamas. They're extremely comfortable where I find many wool clothing items itchy.
Love smartwool products but the problem is have with the pants is they dont sit well if you have a bigger bottom. They feel like they will slide down and sit low in the waist. Need to reconsider the sizing. I am 5’3 & 153lbs.
This is a nice, light weight base layer! I have sensitive, eczema-prone skin, and I don't find the fabric itchy. It is sheer, but a base layer is meant to be worn under other clothes, so I don't mind it at all. One thing I would caution is to maybe size down. I'm 5' 8" 120 lbs, usually size small in bottoms, but the size xs was perfect. It does stretch ever so slightly throughout the day.
A great everyday weight. Light enough to layer easily and still provides the temperature management of wool baselayers.
I’m so glad I bought these. They are lightweight and cozy. Perfect base layer.
they're smartwool, they've earned their reputation x100. buy once, cry once... they may be expensive, but you'll have them for years and they are untouchable on quality and effectiveness, nothing keeps you warmer.
Just like the top, these are comfy, warm and definitely worth it! Camping, winter wear, and as PJsz.
