Wrinkles

I bought this top as something to wear on my fall trips. While it was a nice, light weight for packing, and it supplied some warmth, it wrinkled badly. I used packing cubes. I literally had to iron this! All of my other t-shirts came out virtually wrinkle-free. Yesterday I washed this after one of my trips and using a low-heat setting on my dryer, it again came out of the dryer with wrinkles. This is unacceptable to me for this type of clothing. I truly think you folks need to re-evalute this fabric. And just for the record, I do know fabric--I've taken university courses in textiles, and have been sewing on all types of fabrics for over 60 years.

Annoyed with the logos

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased for an upcoming trip to Morocco. I need to bring one outfit for a potentially cool evening in the desert. Thought this shirt would be a good choice paired with a nice pair of beige pants. Truly liked it until I saw the very noticeable logo on the back and a less offensive logo on the front. Those logos really cheapen the look of the shirt. Keep the logos on the interior please.

Perfect!!! Absolutely Perfect For Summer!

This top is my new go to for summer hiking, backpacking, MTB and anything else I want to do in the heat. This top delivers what has been promised. I wore it for two days backpacking. It was hot at the lower elevations but cooler toward 10000ft. I was definitely sweating at points and my shirt didn't stink...AT ALL!!! I could feel there moisture being wicked away from my skin and I felt cool and comfortable hiking through the hotter parts of the trail. I noticed how well it protected my skin, I didn't sunburn. Even though this is not SPF rated, I had no issues. I love the extra room, some say it's too big but you need a little extra room so it can be airy. Medium for me perfect. This is by far another awesome top made from Smartwool that didn't fail. I love it!!! If you need a long sleeve that really delivers in the heat of summer... here it is!!!

This shirt is becoming an everyday, go-to piece.

I wore this shirt to work out in but also as a base layer. It was great during a walk outside, as well as lifting weights and walking on the treadmill. The material is very soft. I have worn merino 150 in the past, the merino 120 is even softer. I like the cut of the neck better than the scoop neck that is available on the 150's, but the overall cut of the shirt was much roomier than the 150 or 250. I normally wear an XL in Smartwool baselayers, but this XL was a bit too big. I would order down a size. The shirt continued to be very soft after washing. It's becoming an everyday piece. #smartwoolLove

The Best Ultralight Shirt Ever!

I was looking for an ultralight shirt to protect my skin from the sun while hiking and cycling. I've worn this shirt in ~80 deg F weather while hiking. The shirt certainly shielded me from the sun. Better yet, I never felt overheated or too hot. The material is super soft against the skin and works great for moisture (think sweat!) management. I was so pleased with this shirt that I bought a second one. I highly recommend this shirt! Love it!

I LOVE these Smartwool tops!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Merino Sport Ultralite long sleeve top as the perfect layer under a light puff jacket to xc ski when the outside temperature is in the mid-30s. I get too warm if I layer up in thicker clothing. This combo is just right. I also wear it under light sweaters for around the house or going shopping. It is very versatile & comfortable. It does run big compared to the mid-weight Merino wool base layer top so size down one size. I love these tops so much I have ordered them in multiple colors both in long & short sleeves.

Buying a third one!

LOVE THIS TOP! The perfect top for layering over a tank when it’s chilly or to wear solo. Fries very quickly and takes up no space in the suitcase. My go-to top for hiking and day-tripping.

I would buy this again, but wish it was shorterr

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this, but should have gotten a S, not a M--I am 5'2", 130 lbs, athletic build. I like the thin silky feel too it, but it stretched out in the heat while hiking, and I'm going to have it shortened by a tailor. I've ordered another one for my next trip, but in a S this time! Wore it a few times w/out washing--the last on a long hot hike w a backpack, and then it was in a suitcase for 15 hrs--definatley needed to be washed, but came clean and stink-free!!

Perfect gym shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 120 shirts are so soft and light, that they make the best workout shirts. I love the twilight blue, and the pop it adds to my outfits. I'm 5'8 155lb, and I usually wear a medium, but I would size down in this top as it does run large, and I like a slightly tighter fit for the gym. It's a good size if you prefer a looser fit shirt! Overall, I'm stoked with my new shirt! #Smartwoollove

I love the fabric.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The weight and feel is a wee bit finer/lighter than the t shirt I bought in store. The t shirt xl was perfect fit. The long sleeve xl ran a bit larger than the t shirt. I have very sensitive skin and the fabric really feels good. I really can't tell until I see it and feel it for myself. I think it breathes better than Tercel. It was nice to try something new and local.
