Looking for a faster rolling tire with grip

I read other reviews regarding this tire. I was looking for a faster rolling tire with grip and durability. It reminds me of a Maxxis Assegai Dual Compound. I got the trail/endurance version. I ride in Phoenix, AZ. National/Mormon is my daily ride. First ride, it felt like cleats on a sidewalk. Then second ride, the grip was way better on the rocks. Still resting this one out. Not confident with leaning the bike all the way. Maybe, I’ll try a stickier compound

Great ties, Similar to Assegai

Wanted to try these new Contees. Usually on Assegai/Dissector or similar Maxxis offerings. For my local central Oregon trails which have varied trail conditions year round (dry/loose to rocky to flow to hero dirt), these tires have been great for me. The trail compound has been sticky enough for my tastes without out suffering early wear and lack of durability I get from the stickier offerings from Maxxis. I was "tired" of the Maxxis $80-100 pricing with way too many compounds and sidewall options. This always causes issues when I try to replace and I can never find the combination I was using, plus the options you end up liking are $100 per tire and then wear out way too fast because of the tackier grip. - Cornering is excellent and near identical to Assegai. These grip and slide pretty predictably. - Weight is light considering the beefier sidewalls. - No burping issues so far. Great support - Braking is excellent. - Rolling speed is better than expected. - $65 price is very reasonable for the build and traction. - Made in Germany quality. Currently running front and rear. May try the Xynotal rear next to see if that increases rolling speed and holds similar traction to similar other brand offerings. I'm not opposed to Maxxis, but it sure is nice to have alternatives
