Mountain Hardwear  Dynama Dress

This dress is perfect for tossing in your bag on your next trip. Pros: -shorts underneath, feels like you are wearing a romper! -doesn't wrinkle -not too warm -flattering across bigger tummies -built in bra (although I still wear another one underneath) Cons: -no pockets in the dress itself (there are pockets in the shorts underneath) -I wish it was like 2 inches longer, sometimes rides up due to the slickness of the shorts Sizing notes: runs slightly large up top, I typically wear L or XL bottoms (14) and L or XL tops, bought the XL first and it was way too big up top. Large fits well at the top but slightly tight across the hips

While I loved the fit of the dress, quality just wasn't there. I took it on my 250 miles section hike of the PCT. Mostly to wear it at night and in town while doing laundry. The strap came undone on the first week of use. On the second week, the fabric started to peel already. Especially after I wore it one day while hiking into Echo Lake. There's peeling along the waist where my pack waist straps are, and along the chest, where my chest strap was. I almost left my Smartwool shorts at home in an attempt on hiking only in the dress. I'm so glad I decided against it. If you don't expect to wear it much and only wear it in town, I'd recommend it. However, if you're planning on wearing it while hiking, running, etc, I'd pass.

I ended up returning this dress shortly after I bought it. I found the material flares out strangely at the armpits. I have a short torso, so I had to shorten the straps quite a bit, and I’m not sure if that’s what caused the flaring. Otherwise, I really liked the material of the dress.

Lovely dress, pretty colors with adjustable straps for a great fit. Because it has both a bra shelf and shorts, this is all one piece, which creates a weird body suit inside the dress. I could have gotten used to it, but it was just too short, even for me at 5ft. If you love your legs, then go for it, but it wasn't for me.

I am 5'10, 135lbs and I got a small. This is hands down the most comfortable and flattering summer dress I own. it has quickly become my favorite summer dress for both active hobbies and casual days. The dress is made in 2 layers, a thin bodysuit type under layer with the shorts and the dress layer. both are extremely thin, soft and breathable. If you are extremely hot natured it may be a lot but I've worn it out in the sun in 90 degree days and never got too hot. the shorts in the bottom layer also have a gusset instead of a crotch seem making them very comfortable to move, squat, and work in. I am also a climber and have a large upper back and shoulders. the arm holes on this are cut low enough to accommodate lats or muscles without eating into your armpit or creating the weird roll between the hem and your armpit. I cant wait for more colorways of this dress.

Loved everything about this item, except for the sides bulging by the chest.

For reference: I'm 5'7" and roughly 130lb, athletic build, and a Medium fit great. Pros: SO comfortable! Upon arrival, I wore it 3 days in a row it was so comfy. I like where it hits on my legs and the shorts don't ride up. Could improve: the top line & straps aren't the most flattering, and the single pocket can fit your keys, but not much else. I bought this dress in black. Overall, I am so happy I got this dress! Would recommend.

I was attacked by a dog while wearing this dress. Mountain Hardwear...my glutes suffered severe scratches, punctures, and deep contusions but there is not a single hole or snag in the material of this dress. I am BAFFLED. I've looked and looked. Maybe this high tech material made the dog's teeth slip off me and made the dog less able to bite through - that sounds crazy - and yet, this dress is unmarred while my back side suffered severe damage. It's not like I'm going to go around jumping into blackberry bushes, but bravo to this material. Love how this dress fits. Admittedly a bit annoying to get in/out of while using bathroom, so I appreciate the adjustable shoulder straps to make that process easier. Fit is flattering and can go several wears without a wash. (bought XS - I'm 5' 120lbs)

Really nice fit and material. Flattering and functional. The pocket in the shorts is a huge plus!

Great fabric and I love that it’s lined with shorts with pockets. I’m 5’2 and 135lbs. I’m usually a solid medium, very rarely a small, but I am wishing I got this in a small. The medium is a bit too long for my torso which leaves some baggy fabric in the liner and in the chest. If I had a longer torso then the fit would be perfect. Still keeping and look forward to wearing.
