[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great out of box shoe. First time use a full day walking around flagstaff, NM. Very comfortable hiking through Humphreys Peak. Continental soles and minor scratches but over all looks like new after 10 miles. Four starts only because I notice significant wear and tear on back of shoe. (See pictures)
the quality is super checked on a rainy day, my feet are still super dry Comfort is super comfortable I recommend it to everyone, it’s pleasant to wear for a long time in the winter I will also try it I will buy other models
A little snug at first but true to fit after a few wears. The black midsole is white underneath and the paint started cracking showing the white after only a few wears. The rest of the shoe is quality and looks great, but with the midsole cracks they look like a pair of beaters from the upper down. I’m definitely disappointed. I assume it’s the flex in the boost which makes them comfortable that causes the cracked paint, which would be avoidable by not painting them and using solid black for midsole material. Don’t buy if you want a shoe that will keep that clean/new look.
This is the first shoe with boost that actually works as a hiking shoe - previous iterations suffered from lack of sufficient midsole or the all-to-common prevalence of hot spots near the ankles or the accessory navicular (an extra bone above the arch which 10% of us have). The previous mid-tops also had a large opening around the cuff, which not only provided scant ankle support but allowed all kinds of debris into the shoe. This edition has cured quite completely the debris issue, with a cuff sock - but the ankle support is only lightly available, due to a lack of a stiff collar. Still - this is now a decent shoe to wear on long hikes.
From the detail of the stitching to the quality of the leather, this shoe looks great. On feet, the comfort and stability of the construction shines through!
I purchased these for my husband. He’s had the previous version of these before and loved them so I thought these would be of the same quality or better. However, after 2 months of wearing them they had holes on the inside of the heel, and another hole on the top side. In addition, the grip on the bottom of the shoes wore down very quickly to where there’s no longer much traction. These shoes were only used for a couple of hikes, so the wear and tear seemed unusually fast. I’m disappointed since we usually love adidas. We haven’t purchased adidas since then.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great new addition to my sneaker line up. They're good for what they are made for. Hiking and walking. Very supportive boot with comfortable built in sock around ankles. The have a nice firm but soft structure around the mids. I use supports for my flat feet but haven't used them in these yet. The grip is amazing as evident in this last snow storm and my feet stayed dry. I could play basketball in these sneaks as the grip, support and weight are amazing. The boost has a nice feel. Pretty stylish as well as I got a few compliments. I'm going to get the black pair as well. Which they had a all black sole. Highly recommend.
I'm so disappointed that I didn't discover these sooner. I'm hoping these will be suitable for the suburban winter in the GTA. I used to switch between boots and runners outdoors and indoor respectively, so I was hoping I'd find something good for both +all day wear. I am super impressed. These are super comfortable and surefooted, sliding them on and off takes a bit of getting used to. I figured that I shouldn't pull them on and instead I hold the loops and push my foot into them while planted on the ground. Need a good cotton sock to avoid sweaty feet. They are thin but protect against the weather and help trap heat in.
Wore a pair of terrex free hikers for three months. They're comfortable and have the elastic sock-like fit as advertised, to the point they're almost a little too firm. You can practically wear them without lacing. I had no problems with rubbing or blisters and basically no break-in period. For my taste the boost sole is too soft and unstable if you're looking at any serious outdoor activity. The soles of my pair wore the grip completely smooth in 2-3 months, which I have never experienced with other shoes doing harder activity - I would estimate I didn't even get 500km out of the pair. The continental rubber sole just doesn't feel up to snuff which was my biggest issue.
I LOVE THESE . 10/10. I bought a 12.5 and they are wicked comfortable. I use these for work so they’re gonna get beat up for sure i want to get another pair but in my regular size which is a 12 to see cause with a thick sock especially in the cold the half size up makes the difference. But in hot weather, thin socks or no socks true to size definitely the way to go. But yeah definitely a must buy…
