Coming from Speedgoat 5, the Tecton X 2 have a similar fit, albeit a bit narrow at the toe box. Surprisingly, it didn't cause me any issues whatsoever on my medium-long run. They feel like real road racing shoes except with lugs. They are very springy and propulsive when climbing, and very stable on the downhills as well. If you've ran in Altra Vanish shoes before, they are very similar. I cannot wait to race in them! Highly recommend.
We were hopeful for a comfortable hiking/walking shoe. However, the footbed of the shoe has no flex whatsoever; it's like a piece of wood. As a result, when you walk in these shoes, and your foot naturally flexes and bends - since the footbed doesn't - your heel pops out of the back of the shoe.
