This a great goretex jacket. I am 5’4, 130lbs, 36” chest and a size medium fit well with a down jacket and bib snow pants underneath. I normally wear a small but saw that the medium fits like a small+ so I took a chance. On the other hand, the “Klein Blue” which should be a deep Royal blue was more like a purple, which was a hug’s disappointment for me.
I really liked the thoughtfulness of this jacket, but I was looking for a light weight and packable jacket therefore, I had to choose Mountain Hardwear's lightest Gore-tex jacket after all. However, there are many good things about this jacket that made it difficult to decide. Light weight, hard shell, easy access to the pockets, adjustable unique cord system, and totally adjustable hood has nice hard beak. There was one thing it bothered me, I felt as if under the armholes were tight.
Was a little worry when I saw some of the reviews, but rest assured, I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm 5'4, 105lbs, bought a size S to fit my layers, and it's perfect. Just enough room for thermals and a puffy, and not big enough to look baggy. The 40D fabric also feels a bit thicker than I expected, hopefully it'll be abrasion resistant. All in all, happy with my purchase.
fit significantly tighter than other mediums from mountain hardwear. was tighter in the under arms with small sleeves. body was shorter than excpected. ended up returning. fit more like a small+ than a medium. the pros, material was great and had a nice hand feel and the hood was spot on, fit great with a helmet and could be adjusted to fit well with out.
Ordered online and unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations. It was a snug through the shoulders but roomy elsewhere, and the zipper felt a bit sticky. Color was nice, but a bit plain-looking overall. I want to love everything about a jacket at this price, and definitely want a comfortable and flattering fit, and this wasn't it.
Too long! Why does MHW insist on making long jackets and failing to consider all the women who are short?! If the outdoor industry can recognize that legs come in different lengths when are you going to make jackets in different lengths??
Amazing jacket, fully waterproof, 4 zips to store personal items, fits my ski helmet. I'm 5.3 ft and 127 lbs and wear an S with a puffy jacket underneath.
Verrrrrrrrry good, the color is unexpected good, I love this the most ever
Great shell for alpine uses or ski touring. Fits well with room to layer
