Perfect Travel Stroller
We needed a stroller for our recent cruise vacation that was small enough for the ship and to tuck away in our cabin when not in use. This stroller was PERFECT for that. Easy to fly with and the perfect travel size for our large toddler. He is 3 and very tall for his age and is able to fully lay in the stroller and even had a 3 hour stroller nap while wandering around Puerto Rico. Great storage basked size and the belly bar/snack tray were a great feature to have. So many features and such great quality, highly recommend. This is our 3rd Larktale product and we cannot say enough great things about them.
Best Travel Stroller!
We were extremely apprehensive about our first international trip with our 8-month old son, particularly with respect to the best option for a travel stroller. The chitchat plus was PERFECT and exceeded our expectations. It is light, folds compactly and easily, and the full recline was critical for both on-the-go naps and a few late night dinner snoozes. Our son was comfortable and safe despite the bumpy cobblestone streets in Portugal. We had no trouble fitting the folded stroller into the travel bag, and our stroller was not damaged at all over the course of our four flights. The price is very reasonable given its performance. We would highly recommend this stroller to anyone travelling, particularly internationally!
Very frustrating to open
The levers to open the stroller get jammed, and it is a fight to open. I should have returned it, but I needed a stroller. I had read reviews that this was great a stroller, and therefore reread the instructions in the parking lot to make sure it was not user error. It is very frustrating, and embarrassing, when you need a stroller, and it will not open without a fight. Mine has scratches all over it because I had to lay it on the ground to open it.
Low quality and broken after 7 months
I’ve had this stroller for 7 months. It’s lightly used because it’s my backup stroller so only use it for a few hours every other weekend. Despite light use, it is not holding up well. First the seat stopped functioning so that one side is always slouched and the strap hangs loosely. Then the front bar broke off when I was opening it to take my son out. Very disappointed in the poor quality
Best urban option out there for the price
We love the simplicity and small footprint of this stroller, and combined with the eco friendly materials this is a win for us. We have both a toddler and a new baby on the way and love having the option to use this for our youngest without having to lug the carseat around. Darting in and out of stores is effortless: haven't met an aisle that this thing doesn't fit into. The sun canopy is extremely generous, which is so important to us in Los Angeles. Some cons- these wheels are best on concrete. Larger cracks in the pavement may cause you to stop short if you don't bump the wheels up manually. This stroller is best for an urban environment. The cup holder is completely functional but not great- it seems like it detaches far too often if I'm not careful. Overall we love the stroller and would absolutely buy it again. If you live in a city and want something lightweight and versatile at a good price point I'm not sure it can be beat!
Great for the airport but the airport isn’t great
I’ve air traveled with my Chit Chat Plus and LOVED how easy and light it is to fold it and get it through TSA. However, I can’t tell you how many times it got stuck trying to open it - you really have to keep pushing it down until it catches and releases. Both times I gate checked the stroller - the whole thing plus the snack tray survived one leg, but the snack tray fell victim to the baggage handlers. Then on our next round trip flight, it made it in one piece there but on the way back, the handlers managed to break off the bumper bar and I didn’t notice (it was a late night flight and I was solo with my toddler) until we were already at baggage claim. Now I’m trying to find a replacement bumper bar but there isn’t one… and well, now I have nothing to attach my daughter’s stuff to within reach for her. Considering my the high price point of this stroller (thankfully I didn’t pay that much), I would have thought the bumper bar would have held up better especially since the manual said that it could be left on when the stroller was folded. LarkTale???
Good concept
I bought the chit chat plus for my family’s trip to Jamaica. I also bought the travel bag. At first, it was hard to get into the travel bag, but after using it 3 times, the bag loosened some. The stroller is super light and easy to carry. I absolutely love that. I have 2 problems with the stroller. It is hard to open! You have to squeeze 2 buttons, really hard at the same time. This is especially hard if you’re by yourself and holding the baby. My other problem is the back of the stroller. If you place the stroller in recline position and then go to close it, it does not close evenly. One side is bulging out, so your baby will be leaning to one side. My daughter was annoyed by this and cried while we were in the airport and the supermarket. I ended up having to take her out while pushing the empty stroller. I and other relatives tried multiple times to straighten the back but one side or the other kept leaning. I do love that the seat reclines flat. But what’s the point if my daughter can’t sit straight. The 2 problems I had was enough to make me not like the product. I have a chicco stroller that is 3lbs heavier and I would have been better off traveling to Jamaica with that one than spending so much to be inconvenient with the Larktale Chit Chat.
