Had this for a few months now and really happy with it. I carry a variety of bikes from road to gravel to enduro with tires anywhere from 32mm to 2.6” and it holds them solid every time. It attaches to the hitch via a threaded bolt and steel ball bearing that snugs to the receiver when you tighten the bolt, which makes for little to no sway or wiggle. Fits my ‘21 Chevy Colorado, and can put the tailgate all the way down no problem. It’s a bit heavier than the Thule T1 I had preciously but it’s obvious how much beefier this racks construction is. Aesthetically nicer than other tray racks on the market imo. Highly recommend.
Overall, feels solid and is super simple to operate - I do love the actual operation of the rack and the locking design is lovely. My gripe is the design of the tilt arm - the tilt up doesn't have an immediate stop on the fold, so you can actually over fold and have the rack rest on the back of your vehicle. Unfortunately, it's not super clear when this happens and my car now has pretty dents and paint damage where the rack contacted it. When I reached out to Rocky Mounts about this issue, I was told that I should have installed it with a hitch extender. There was no indication in the manual for min gap between vehicle and rack (I have a fairly generous space). Seems like they could have just popped on a hard stop instead of relying on the fold geometry to stop the rack *eventually*. If I were to get another rack, I would probably just get a 1up.
I’ve had this rack for some years now. Extremely durable and replaceable parts via website. Can handle off-road trips to regular roads with ease. Great anti wobble hitch. Very ease single hand adjustments, multiple tire size compatibilities and very clean look. Fit my 5th Gen 4runner perfectly without any rear hatch clearance issues.
