Sizing Notes

Allbirds fit true to size for most customers. If you have wide feet or prefer a roomier fit to accommodate toe splay, we suggest sizing up. If you are in between sizes we recommend sizing up for all styles except for Tree Runner styles (size down for those).

Amazing All-purpose Shoe

These are my 3rd Pair of Allbirds, but my first pair of their Trailrunners. I bought them mainly as an all-purpose shoe to wear at work, around the house, and out-and-about. They look great, and are easily the first pair of shoes I want to put on when leaving the house. They're comfy out of the box, and seem to have better support than other Allbirds I've purchased. I also appreciate the upper has a sock-like collar so I can easily slip them on and off without having to tie/untie them. The fit is great, and they run true-to-size. You shouldn't need to size up or down. I haven't used them as an actual trail shoe yet. They will get some light hiking and some trails, but because I want them to be more of a casual shoe, I won't put them through rough terrain where they'd get dirty or tear. I typically prefer shoes with rock plates for trail running, and I'm fairly certain these lugs on the outsole would have enough bite compared to other trail shoes I regularly use. Overall, I'm super satisfied, would purchase again, and would definitely recommend to others.

Solid multi purpose shoe

Nice shoe with crossover appeal. Solid sole, which is fairly waterproof for hikes and walks in water, mud and rain. But with Style and color function for going out to dinners and non-outdoor activities. The upper part of the shoe is mesh so it will get wet if completely submerged or in heavy rain on top. However, it did a very good job generally keeping my feet dry in very rainy hikes throughout Ireland. Quickly dried overnight in front of a fan, and good to go again. I 1/2 sized up to accommodate for my half size, I also have wide feet, so was a little bit snug but completely doable.

Cheap stitching job

I’ve had these shoes only a couple months and wear them maybe 2-3 times a week. The stitching in the heel started separating shortly after wearing. I assumed it was just the break in period but it’s been getting worse ever sense. For how much they cost I am pretty disappointed in the quality of stitching

Nice shoes, need more traction as trail runners

Super comfortable and fit well. I bought the black and tan version, they are sharp looking shoes. The noodle traction pattern on the soles is sufficient for a lot of surfaces but as I was trotting down a slick, mossy slope, I lost traction and my feet slid out from under me. Dinged one star for being trail runners. Otherwise, running in them is very easy.

Over all a pretty good

Over all a pretty good shoe , although I can say I wish they were a little more durable. Yes I’ve had them for a few months now but I only were them in the hospital. There is beginning to form a hole in the toe .

Good shoes but issue

This is the second pair of trail runners I’ve purchased. The first ones lasted me forever but unfortunately these new ones are fraying on the lace holes.

Love them

Great shoes. I’ve put a lot of trail running miles on them already and have enjoyed them. Comfortable and good tread without too much weight.

I bought them for work.

I wanted a comfortable shoe for work that did not scream athletic shoe with Business Casual. These work well. I have a 3-hour drive on occasion and these are pretty comfortable during that drive. Not perfectly comfortable but close. No one at work has mentioned that I am no longer wearing dress shoes and my feet no longer hurt. Win-Win. The no tongue design takes a little getting used to. They can be difficult to put on. I have to "un-fold" the front of where my foot goes into the shoe which takes some experimentation.

very uncomfortable

im someone who rarely gives bad reviews but i really hated my experience with these shoes, which was sad cause I was quite excited to get them i took them on a trip because i walked around the city a lot but i dreaded getting them on and off because of how tight they are, I loosed the laces a lot but they still hurt to use, partially because my feet were a little sunburn but mostly cause it takes a lot of effort to get them on/off also, driving with the shoes also involved immense pain in separate way, a narly rash developed on my heel about 3-4 hours in both ways (even before their sunburn), it was so unbearable i had to take my shoes off to finish the drive they were also a bit uncomfortable the few times I used the shoes prior to that trip, with the tightness being a nuisance
