Bright and Bold
There are many aspects of these shades that I really liked. Chartreuse is actually one of my favorite colors. The polarized lenses allowed me to see clearer in the sun and around bodies of water. The larger frame makes it pretty impossible for sun to sneak in through the sides. They remind me a bit of ski goggles. Lastly, I liked the curvature of the temples. They felt really secure when I was wearing them. It didn't matter which direction I looked in, they were not coming off. Con: they are really bright and bold. I didn't love all the attention that I was getting while wearing them. They are very functional, though.
Great sunglasses for mountain biking/hiking
These sunglasses are honestly amazing for mountain biking - they fit nicely under my Smith helmet, don't hurt my ears at all, and don't slip down my nose. They also look pretty cool, Goodr is such a fun brand. I've worn them hiking too and I like the shade they tint the surrounding world because it helps you focus on the beauty of nature around you rather than squinting from the sun in your eyes. Compared to other sunglasses I own, these do a good job blocking sunlight all around since they wrap closely to your face. The only negative in my opinion is just that they're a bit bulky and I'm scared they might get easily crushed due to that so I'm always extra careful with these. Otherwise, great sunglasses that are well designed.
Rad Windshield for your face
My first pair of “full coverage” sunglasses and I’m into them. The unobstructed field of view is excellent and served me well on a couple of windy and rainy bike rides. The fit works really well as you’re riding with your head down slightly, no slipping around in my experience. Comes with two nose pads to dial in your fit. Definitely won’t be an all around sunglass for me but these are great for cycling and certainly make a statement.
Great vision field, tight fit
I took these guys out to gravel bike in McCarthy Alaska. A friend has a dry cabin 5 miles from town and we spent the memorial day weekend riding bikes to and from her cabin, as well as biking to the toe of the Root Glacier. I absolutely loved them for their field of vision, and they gave me really good views even in overcast Alaskan skies. The only complaint I have from these being a 10/10 is that the arms on the side fit very tightly, so much so that after wearing them for a bit, I just wanted to take them off my head because it was giving me pressure points. Hopefully over time these ease up and they are a joy to wear all day... right now I need to take them off during breaks.
Finally, non-slip sunglasses that work!
One of the better sunglasses I've used for hiking! What really stood out to me was the nose bridge and the fact that it did not slip down at all. I think that is also attributed to the rubber padding and shape of the arms. As other reviewers noted, the arms are a bit more compressive and I imagine they did that to prevent any slippage. They were slightly tight, but not anything to really make me feel uncomfortable or experience any major physical symptoms; this may also be related to head circumference and why others experienced more compression. I used the glasses for over an hour without noticing any issues, but it may be something to be mindful of if wearing for longer. The frames are very wide, almost like goggles, so they lay higher on the forehead. It's not so much of an issue if wearing by itself, but I was wearing a hat and so my hat didn't sit as flush as it normally would because of this, but it's not a major detractor (maybe moreso if you're wearing a bike helmet or a lower brimmed hat). There is also good ventiliation, so I didn't experience any fogging like I would with other glasses; would be interested to see if that holds up in the winter when wearing a bluff. The glasses give a blueish-gray tint when worn and allow for clearer vision by reducing sun glare (see comparison photos of the flowers on my hike).
Fun Idea, Fit isn’t ideal.
I’ve used these sunglasses now for hikes and trail runs a number of times. The pros: They are polarized, they are generally comfortable to wear, the nosepiece doesn’t pull your hair when you put them on top of your head, they do block out a lot of light with the wrap-around design, they are fun, and they seem to be durable and well made. The cons: They don’t really fit my head well, they push my ears out and sit really high on my face. It’s like they are super wide but then taper in at the back of the earpieces. They are really bulky when folded up and could be easily crunched in a backpack, they do cause pressure points when worn on top of your head, and I just don’t love the design honestly. If the fit were better these could be some really fun party sunglasses for river trips or spring skiing, but after using them a lot, I just don’t envision ever being excited to wear them.
Love the color, unsure of fit, love affordability
Was excited to get a chance to give these goodr wrap around shades a try. I picked the bright neon green ones ("nuclear gnar") to rock. First getting them, there's a satisfaction when I unfold the arms of the shades - they pop out perfectly and the grips alongside the inner arms truly keep the shades on your face. Once putting them on my face, I kept wanting to push them further down the bridge of my nose because my eyelashes kept hitting the lenses. (For reference, my boyfriend tried them on and loved them - his eyes are set more deeply into his face, so he didn't experience the lashes-on-lenses feeling.) We both feel they fit snugly, which feels great while riding outdoors - keeping out wind, insects, pollen, debris. I do love the neon green color but am noticing that I can see the lower outline of the frames on the bottom of my periphery, which could be distracting for folks. My favorite piece is how affordable these glasses are and how confident I feel in how they won't move on my face. These are my second pairs of goodrs and I love how well they're built and how hardy they are outside. Would recommend giving them a try on first before committing.
Too Smooth With It
These sunglasses we’re the best purchase I could have made for my half marathon race. Had me looking good and running fast. Never was sunglasses guy during races but this definitely changed my opinion on them!
My son used them for
My son used them for baseball and he loved them! He said they were very comfortable on, he could see to catch all the pop flys and he felt like a Stud! :sunglasses:
I Do My Own Stunts
I’m loving this shades. They stay in place, don’t fog, and keep the bugs/dust from smacking me in the eyes!
