Comfy, cozy, wool

Comfy, thicker base layer, not itchy! I own a couple of pairs of Kari Traa base layer pants. These have a little more weight to them and have lasted a couple of seasons already. Will buy them again if needed, but these seem like they'll last awhile still. 5'4, 135", usually size 0 to 2 and XS fits best.

The best women's base layers

My absolute favorite base layers for skiing that have a true high waist and don't dig in

Terrible quality. Large holes upon first wear.

This is a poor quality product that does not stand up to simply being worn, forget even trying to hike or ski or doing anything else remotely athletic in them. I absolutely would not recommend Keri Traa base layers to anyone. The holes are entirely the fault of the product itself: The item is sized correctly and fits me well; it is not snug so there is NO additional strain on the fibers while wearing these. My mid-layer was very soft and there was nothing on my outer layer that could possibly have poked the base layer. Literally all I did was put them on, walk to the garage, lift my car hood, jump start my car, drive it around for a bit, then I went back home. In other words, I slowly walked, then I stood, then I sat for a while. That's IT. Upon taking off my layers, the base layer had three large holes in the strip of fabric that goes along the side of the leg. Sadly I cannot return them, since last winter was freakishly warm so I didn't get to use them until today, so it's been more than 365 days since purchase. In the meantime, they have been stored in a garment bag, and that bag has been stored inside a high-quality storage bin. The garment was inspected before wearing and there were no holes at that time. Search reviews for "hole" or "holes" and you'll see this happened to others too. I can only imagine what would've happened if I'd actually gone hiking in these! They'd probably disintegrate entirely and leave me with hypothermia. Grr.

Perfect

I'm really picky when it comes to wool base layers and these leggings are perfect! They are soft and comfortable, and the waist hits at just the right level and does not dig in. I love the fun pattern too. I got the matching quarter zip top.

Itchy

These are the perfect fit and so adorable, but have to return because they are so itchy! Was hoping they wouldn’t be due to other reviews. So sad.

Useful tights

Comfy and warm. They stay around your waist without squeezing too tight. Great on their own around the house or as a layer.

Love!

I really love these and I wanted to buy a second pair but I waited 12 hours too long and they ran out so I am really disappointed in that! But they fit nice and the design makes your body look good. The only negative in these pants style is they are a little bit tight at the knee when you’re trying to bend.

Warm but a little saggy

Warm, not itchy, but the seat of the pants has started to sag after some wear and the waistband falls down a bit. I wish these came in plain, non-patterned colors, too.
