Spacious. TERRIBLE against wind!!!

Tent was super tall which was great for a 6’2” person. However, it only survived ONE night against moderate winds. The tent was fully staked at all four corners and had all four guy-outs attached. Pics 1 & 5: show the tent ripped at the stakes. Pic 2: Somehow the tent just ripped entirely along the corner of two of the white walls. Pic 3: the guy-out stayed intact but the tent material ripped off completely (you can see the green fabric at one end) Pic 4: that was the tent original set up which was very spacious and comfortable. Other notes: - waking up, the white walls magnified the light coming in so it was pretty tough to sleep any longer after the sun was out. - my friend’s tent of the same dimensions, which was placed right next to mine, remained intact, but this one ripped apart. (Glad I had an additional tent)

I really wanted to like this tent…

So…the size is good, & I like all the windows…BUT there are no toggles for the window flaps on the inside. They just hang down to the floor. Not impressed with that. Also, my tent came with what looks like blood on it (see photo)…supposedly “new” when I bought it, so either it was bled on at the factory OR it was a used return item (in which case, this is the 2nd time I’ve paid for “new” & received a used return product. Try harder REI!!) Also, there’s a hole/rip right at 1 of the top corner seams (see pic), which again either came from the factory damaged, or this was a used return. Stars docked for these reasons. I do like the screen ceiling…that’s fun if you want to stargaze & there’s no rain forecasted (FYI the tent ceiling is screen & the only way you get a “real” tent ceiling is if you attach the rain fly). I like that the screen is a fine mesh so it keeps out even the tiniest bugs. It’s relatively easy to set up…I set it up by myself with no issues in 10-15 minutes (maybe less…I didn’t time it). The bigger poles seem like they’ll hold up well—heavy duty & super sturdy. The poles that go across the top are like “normal” tent poles with the elastic stretch cord in the middle. It is a tall tent…even a tall person could stand up fully inside it. I’m 5’8” & can just barely reach the hook for the light in the center of the ceiling. It’s roomy! I hope this tent holds up over the years. I do like the size of it, & it packs down relatively small considering the amount of space you get inside. Overall, I would recommend this tent, though I feel like they could improve the design by adding window flap toggles to the interior. (I only have toggles around the door flap & that’s for the door itself only…NOT for the window flap on the door…that still just hangs awkwardly.) (See pics.)

We put it to the test! Very happy with it :)

Bought this tent in June ‘23, my partner and I have used it 5 months in a row for 2-3 night camping trips in all kinds of terrain throughout California and Arizona. It’s easy for 2 adults to set up. We found it was durable in the wind if properly staked and it even held up during an intense monsoon downpour. Plenty of room for a double stack queen size air mattress and we usually put a bunch of bags & gear in for easy access. It’s tall! My partner is 6 ft and can stand up in the tent. We are so happy with this tent, would purchased again, and would recommend to a friend! Couple things that made it better: We bought a heavy tarp for underneath to preserve the tent floor and we purchased heavier metal stakes. A bargain price for a tent we believe will last for many years!

A very good tent

Well worth the money easy one person set up and even after several days of heavy rain no leaks. Large screen windows allow good ventilation.
