Great jacket!
35Y male 6’-4”, 195lbs with an athletic build and Large-Tall is the preferred size for most shirts/jackets I own. I am an experienced with MTB, gravel riding, road cycling, and pretty much anything outdoors. I ordered an XL hoping the sleeves would be long enough for my long arms and the the jacket would remain fitted enough (being made for MTN biking/cyclists) that I could use it for an everyday jacket or for MTN biking. I think this jacket does exactly what I hoped for. I am in CA, Placer County and our summers are warm and winter cold/rain can be scarce so doing any biking with this jacket makes me feel l like sweating just thinking about it. I suppose in cold wet climates this jacket would be great for MTN biking in but I prefer soft fitted thin fleece, 3/4 under armor compression under MTN bike shorts, or arm/leg warmers over Lycra where I live riding in winter. I would take this jacket with me when I use my gravel bike to do a multi-day ride to the coast and rain is to be expected in the forecast but have not had the opportunity yet. This jacket looks great, has a roomy non-detachable hood (for a helmet), and repels rain really well. I enjoy wearing this jacket casually or into town. Build quality seems great overall. Front pockets are a bit raised (similar to hiking jackets to avoid waist straps from backpacks covering your pockets). To clarify this jacket is a shell and breathable, not a thick fleece-type jacket. It does feel very comfortable to wear. I am a warm blooded person who creates a lot of heat and appreciates breathable clothing and this works for me both casually and for winter MTN biking.
Nice quality fabric
Bought the medium in olive green. Love the fabric, felt light but durable. I’m athletic build and wear size medium and this is made for skinny people. The armpit road up high which felt uncomfortable. The waist is tight, so obviously this is slim fit which I wish they advertised it somewhere. You can buy one higher but then you’ d have to get it hemmed at the bottom and arm sleeve. The zipper couldn’t zip pass my Adam’s apple. It’s too narrow at the collar. Sent back for a refund.
