Fantastic!

Love it actually fit 25.5 ski boot inside ! It fit everything I need . However it not able to take out stuff from the top( you need to unzip from the back panel) make sure to get the M/L as well for 32L, they sell S/M for 30 L same price . Overall great bag when I skiing in Whistler!

Great Backcountry Beginner Bag

I was looking for something without an airbag but big enough to ski all day with as I am just starting to really get into the backcountry. This bag has plenty of options for storage and a great insulated pocket for a camelback. The only issue I have is that I am not sure it is the most ergonomically built. I am a 5'7" woman and have an average sized torso. I got the S/M size and it still feels a little big on me. That being said, I think after a few more tours I'll start figuring out how to synch the straps down correctly. The hip pockets are a little far back as well but still completely usable. All in all, a great bag for the price.

Surprising Volume

I'm new to backcountry skiing and purchased this pack because I found my previous 14L pack to be far too small. My primary use case was single day trips uphill and climbing/skiing above the treeline. When I initially opened the package, I thought the pack seemed small. As i began loading my gear, I found I was able to fit everything needed inside to include a puffy, mid layer, spare gloves, goggles, lunch, stuff sack and more. The hip pockets were very useful for quick access to snacks, golve/hat/buffs, and other accessories. On the back, I was able to fit my helmet, ice ace, and either skis or crampons. The locking buckles are also a nice feature to secure items. The pocket space inside the pack for small items (sunscreen, blister kit, voile straps) is limited. The one pocket wouldn't fit all of the items I needed. This was easily solved by using a small stuff sack. Also, there isn't a dedicated water bottle storage location. This surprised me at first, but after watching the video of the pack on the site I saw that there is a location for a hydration bladder which ended up working a lot better. I suspect the hydration bladder pocket could carry a single 1L bottle, or two smaller bottles. From a durabiliyt perspecitive, lets just say I got into a hairy situation and the pack held up. Overall, I am happy with the pack. I recommend it for

Hyd system not quite compatible

The hydration tube goes thru left shoulder strap (insulated sleeve) and it squashed when loaded and water does not pass. osprey Kamber 30 has enough room for the tube to avoid that issue. Nice to have it as i use it in winter too. Hopefully the next version has it fixed. Helmet pouch covers from top which prevents snow to enter into helmet and the material is snow proof - nice move. Great to have two mega size hip belt pockets and hope the next version do not get rid of them. Gear loop can be added by DIY so that is not a must have. Tool pocket’s zipper can go lower (at least one of them). Colour can be more visible and brighter than black or grey.

Finally, Everything I want , nothing I don't need.

I tend to enjoy winter hiking over summertime ascents, mostly because of the lack of bugs and critters. This pack being not too loud color-wise thank god, is ruggedly built, has back panel access for snowy daysand has all the bells and whistles I desire to carry pretty much anything I would need out in the woods up high.....The pockets are well thought out and the zippers and hardware are sturdy. It rides very nicely ascending as well as descending at a clip....Once dialed in on the fit, there was not too much jostling about on my back. Properly loaded I could barely feel the weight on my back at all. Thanks BD for improving on your already great pack.......!

I love this pack!!!

I have a dakine 24L pack that I have been using with my splitboard. I recently purchased a backcountry ski set up and since the dakine pack didn't have side ski mounts I decided to purchase this backpack. I love this pack!!! Skis are super easy to attach and the helmet bag is great - I've also used it to shove my jacket and gloves under on the fly. The huge hip pouches are great for added space. It fits all my avie gear and I can still fit water, food, and extra layers. It doesn't have the horizontal mounting straps for my splitboard, but it can be attached vertically.

Good pack for its intended purpose

I bought this as a multi-sport pack but it probably excels best as a ski-touring pack. I'm new to the rear-entry design but as I grow accustomed can see the advantages. The metal (aluminum?) waist buckle is superior to the traditional plastic, and the hip pockets are large but rather awkward to access at times. The pack is comfortable and would seem to hold a good amount of weight without complaint. The interior pockets are, again, specific to ski touring but can be adapted for general use. In summary, this pack appears durable and should last a few years of constant use if the zippers hold up. The water bladder pocket could be slightly enlarged as I employ the HydraPak Hydrasleeve 3L and it requires some effort to stuff it in there.

Love This Pack!!!

So far I’ve used this pack for a week of work and one backcountry trip, and it’s done so so well. I thought 32 would be either way too much or too little space, but seems to be perfect for day trips and work. I keep finding features of the pack that make it so helpful to have over others. I would say my highlight is the metal buckle. Other packs I’ve used have had the buckles snap or degrade from ski boots or weathering, but the metal one feels so durable. All in all I can see why everyone has one and I would highly recommend to anyone.
